Here is a behind the scenes look at the upcoming game Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway. This new game will be available for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and the PC. Hell's Highway's current release date is September 23, 2008. It will be built in the Unreal Engine (3) and use DirectX 10 to provide an unmatchable visual experience.
"Roll Call" is a collection of small interviews by the Hell's Highway producers and staff. The video starts out with a great dialogue by executive producer Randy Pichford. He talks about the importance of drama in any good, in-depth story. He uses the example of the movie Titanic. The viewers knew the ship was going to sink, but it wasn't about the ship; it was about how the characters dealt with the problem. This causes the story to be much more interesting because of it; explain why one of the main goals of Hell's Highway is to set up drama and action by making a fantastic story.
Another point which they address is the aspect of characters. Erik Avalos, associate producer, discusses how important each individual soldier is in Hell's Highway. He explains how knowing the characters and their back stories help to create and set up that "real person" feel; which significantly adds to the storyline.
The video shows what makes Hell's Highway unique and interesting, down to every last detail. From what they are saying, it's going to be one hell of a game that will take gamers through an epic story.
