Here's a neat new gametype by La Truffe that was so innovative, creative, and just plain fun that you can now find it in the latest version of AWE. :) The gametype is accurately described as Hold the Flag without teams or, for those unfamiliar with HTF, Deathmatch with an objective. The object of the game is to capture the flag and hold it for as long as possible. Unlike the original HTF, in IHTF, any player may kill any other player, so as you might have guessed, the game is much more frantic. ;) What's really cool about all this is that this gametype is server-side, which means you clients won't have to download it in order to partake in the fun! :D With that in mind, server admins, check out the screenshots below of this brand new gametype in action, and put it on your servers today!

Object
------
IHTF is a new gametype for COD2, non team based.
It is now included in AWE mod since 3.0 beta 5b (http://www.awemod.com/).
I strongly suggest to use it inside AWE, as this mod provides lots of great
features.
Anyway, this one is a standalone version that doesn't need AWE.


Compatibility
-------------
Call of Duty 2 stock maps.
Any custom map that supports DM.

Installation
------------
Copy _ihtf_1.0.iwd in your "Call of Duty 2\main" folder.
Set g_gametype to ihtf on your server and make it exec ihtf.cfg.


Rules
-----
For those familiar with HTF, IHTF is a mix between HTF and DM.
Basically, it is like HTF without teams, or DM with an objective (the flag).

The object is to get the flag, which spawns randomly at DM spawn points, and
hold it as long as possible.

The flag holder scores 3 points every 30 seconds by default.
The flag is always marked on the compass.

The first player that reaches the score limit wins.
The player with the best score at time limit wins.

Any player can kill any other player, being the flag holder or not.
However, killing the flag carrier, stealing the flag and holding it earns more
points.
