Here's a great new tutorial by VT_Ownage that teaches you how to add your own moving vehicles to your CoD2 SP creations. Not many of you are up to the task of single-player mapping, but if you're one of the elite few, then grab this new guide! ;)
=====ReadMe===== Must Compile Map First! Making vehicles for the first time, for me, was very difficult. It involves too many keys and values. So I decided to make a half-circle ring that an African Jeep will go around. I used African basically because that’s mainly what the people at IW used it for, African Missions, its also used in Point Du Hoc, and Bergstein missions. Attached is the following: Map File: Feel Free to copy and paste .gsc File: You will need this if you copy and paste it. Just rename it and call on it in yourmapname.gsc. Sound aliases: This is basically what makes the Jeep sounds, put it in the soundaliases folder within the main. =====Legal Information===== You may distribute this tutorial and files in any means, without contacting me, also no need to add credit it took very little time to modify. If you wish to change the models, you will end up needing to redo everything, as everything already has classnames and nodes. Trust me it takes some patience with all the keys and values, but it’s really easy once you get used to it. I am not responsible for any harm done to you or the computer. You receive all responsibility once you download this file. =====Additional Information===== Made by: VT_Ownage Xfire: codownage E-Mail: Ownage_Mapping(at)gmail(dot)com Thanks to ModsOnline, and Nightmare. Construction Time: 2 hrs. (Note) There is a tutorial telling you how to make this available in YOUR map, but you will need to re-arrange some nodes, and add or subtract. You can find this in the zip file. Hope that helps, the mapping community. Copyright©OwnageMapping =====Installation===== You must first compile this map by using the compile tools given to you by IW; otherwise you won’t be able to see this in-game. Just simply compile and put the files in their correct places.
