Here's an excellent new mini-mod by Mario Guzman that features all sorts of changes to give you a fresh new experience in CoD2. He's added sounds of all types (high-quality, too!), gameplay changes (e.g. weapon mods, layout mods, etc.), and even brand new special effects! This is probably one of our larger single-man productions here on CoDFiles, so don't pass it up; check out the screenshots below of the new effects included, and download this sweet new mod today! :D

WELCOME TO SUPERMARIOS SFX MAKE OVER READ ME.

NOTE: THIS MOD CURRENTLY HAS NOT BEEN TESTED WITH COD2 PATCH 1.2 OR 1.3
IF YOU WISH TO UNISTALL THE PATCH FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE PATCH README FILE.


Using "WINZIP", "WINRAR" Or any common archiving program Extract (SUPER MARIO'S SFX MAKEOVER V1.0)
to a place that is easy for you to find, for example
"My Documents" or "My Desktop". etc.

Copy the file "supermarios_sfx_makeover.iwd" and paste it to your call of duty 2 
main folder.

the typical path is:
C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 2\main
your path may be diferent depending on what drive you installed your game.

Then run the game normaly. if all goes well you should see a supermario message when you get killed
in Single Player mode. 


if you would like to use some of these materials in your own mod, i would appreciate if you mention
me in the credits.

My new mod is essentially improved weapon sounds and an overall revamp of the special effects in the game.
After just playing the normal game, and then loading it with my mod.
I honestly believe that these are some of the the best sounds and special effects I have ever seen in a game
butt the people will be the ultimate judge.

*The Background Ambient sound for all maps has been replaced with supermarios gunfire ambient sound.

*Most explosion sounds changed and addes some additional explosion sounds.

*Bullet whizby and ricochet sounds changed.

*Gunfire sounds for the following weapons:
(added more variations and the sounds for 1st person and 3rd person are diferent accordingly)


*Bar /squad atomatic weapon.

*Bren /squad atomatic weapon.

*30 Cal. /lite machine gun.

*Colt 45 Cal /pistol.

*Lee Enfield /rifle.

*Flak 88 mm cannon ground/air.

*Flakvierling 20mm antiaircraft.

*Gewehr 43 /semiautomatic rifle.

You will now start each level with more powerfull weapons. 
NOTE:(IF YOU START WITH NO WEAPON, HIT THE CHANGE WEAPON KEY)

You will not be able too zoom when you go to iron sights (only scoped weapons can zoom)

Weapon files have been changed to be more realistic.

All Semiauto weapons have a quicker rate of fire (as in real life, most semiauto weapons
will chamber and fire as fast as you can pull the trigger, in fact probably faster.)

Damage to a player /enemy has been changed to reflect the diference beteween getting shot with pistol caliber(small caliber)
weapons. Or rifle caliber  (large caliber weapons) Accordingly.

you will start with more grenades. (In real life, you can never have enough)

you will start with more ammo.

The speed at wich you can run has been slightly increased.

MULTYPLAYER SUPPORT:>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

yOU may play multy player games as long as all the players have the same mod and version.

SPECIAL EFFECTS:>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

All the smoke has been changed. (more realistic looking, 10x times the variation)

Burning vehicles will emit (black smoke) as in real life.

only machineguns and squad automatic weapons fire tracers.(iluminated rounds)

Flakvierling tracers more realistic looking.

TRACERS:
The most realistic tracers you have ever seen in a game:
Realistic look, realistic trayectory arch, tracers bounce and glance of surfaces as in real life.
( yes in real life tracers bounce when you hit certain surfaces, like any other proyectile)
i know this from personal experience.
Diferent tracers for 1st person and 3rd person.

FLESH IMPACTS:
flesh impacts by bullets and other proyectile have been changed to be more realistic
with diferent mist, fliying blood droplets and blood spatters on walls and nearby sufaces.
impacts are caliber specific.
realistic looking blood spatters.(this was very dificult to achieve beacause the game has normal light 
and low light enviroments and the game engine does not change the lighting on decals sufficiently.

All bullet / shell impacts on ground, snow and water diferent impacts (Surface specific
for each material you shoot,)

5x times the variation, more massive, more realistic, diferent impacts for small caliber
and large caliber weapons.

Impact decals on Wood, massonery, Adobe, concrete, brick and glass improved and added 
6x times the variation.


EXPLOSIONS;
Ultrarealistic explosion FX for flak 88 (surface specific).

Ultrarealistic impact FX for flak 20 (surface specific).

Ultrarealistic explosion FX for tank proyectiles.

Ultrarealistic Tank explosions.

AIRBURSTING SHELLS for Flakvierling. (Anti Air shells burst in mid air, as in real life).

Realistic explosion FX for grenades.

Changed the look of the all the sparks.

And many other.

Basically like its name says. it is a special effects ovehaul..............................

First of all I want to thank all the peaple that dowloaded Supermarios realistic gunfire.

I would also like to thank Cod files team,for allowing people 
like me to showcase their work. There is a world of talent out there waiting to be discovered, 
and there are some incredibly talented modders out there, 
and some very knowledgeable and very generous people in the community I would like to thank them as well. 

I never imagined back in 2002 when I first started modding ghost recon that some day one of my mods
would actually make it to the internet, for years ive been silently working at night
and in some areas I have achieved incredible results, but until supermarios realistic gunfire,
I had never even sent one of my mods to the internet because I didn’t believe they were good enough,
I am very demanding of my work and I believe peoples time is very precious,
if someone is going to spend their time on downloading a mod I feel it should be worth their while,

I am deeply satisfied to see that my first mod ever published surpassed 5000 downloads and  
is number one in its category.

If you liked Supermarios realistic gunfire.. Prepare to be blown away!!!!!!!
