Here's the next release of ZeRoY's Tactical Night Mod for CoD4, now in version 1.3. I'm really not entirely sure what's changes have been made in this version, except that the mod is now contained in a single file, mod.ff. Other than that, you're just going to have to ask some questions in the comments and hope for some answers. If you're a fan of the Tactical Night Mod, though, you'll probably want to grab this update no matter what! ;)

Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare stock maps/gametypes

Tested on version 1.4


- Enables *Night time* for all stock maps - 3 Levels of night mode
- Nightmod can be set by map in tnmod.cfg so that a rotation can have night/day maps
- Laser sight (only for smg, pistols, assault rifles) - Modded range, size, laser will disable if no nightmod
- Weapon drops if hit in arm/hand
- Added Tear Gas Grenades (will replace flashbang if used)
- Added detailed obituaries messages: Weapons, Hit Location, Range
- Stock obituary can be switched off
- 2D & 3D icons can be truned off (or on except "KILL" icon on sab/sd)
- Spawn Protection (redone)
- Modded MykMod v4 (modified) for Bandages & Bleeding
- Healthbar ( won't show on Hardcore Mode)
- Modded HardPoints messages
- Modded Welcome message
- Rotation messages

All are switcheable from included tnmod.cfg

Installation for Server Administrators

- Unpack the archive to your "Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\mods" folder (not in mods\ModWarfare !!!)
- To launch server modify your iw3mp.exe to the following (windows):

"C:\Call of duty 4 - Modern Warfare\iw3mp.exe" +set dedicated 2 +set fs_game mods/tn_1_3 +set net_ip x.x.x.x +set net_port xxxxx +exec server.cfg +map_rotate

Where x.x.x.x is Public IP of your server and net_port xxxxx is desired port for server (usually 28960)


The mod now has just 1 file: mod.ff (contains mod code)

If you have a previous version, delete the entore folder unpack in mods\ to create new folder mods\tn_1_3

Known issues:

If Classes drop weapons is enable laser might show on all picked up weapons. Only fix is to disable class drop weapons in the weaponcontrol.cfg file.
