Here's the first update to FireBall1's CoDUO multi-player map Downtown Stalingrad. The version number is considered "v1," although that could be a tad confusing because this is actually the second release. In any case, you'll find the same great map you loved before, but with a number of fixes here and there in the form of textures, terrain, and sky. :) So if you liked the old Stalingrad from FireBall1, you'll certainly appreciate this new, improved version, so check it out in the screenshots below to refresh yourself on how it looks and download the map today!
Downtown_stalingrad_v1 This is the first update to the map. No major changes but I fixed a few minor map flaws such as: the texture for the signs on the factory with the russian base in it. fixed the terrain that was overhanging in the german base . modified the sky as to reduce the flickering effect. For the next updated version I would like to add some custom vehicles such as the ahz tanks and pak guns This a large city map. I looked at many photos of Stalingrad and made many of the buildings from these. I was also Inspired by such maps as Kharkov, Pavlov, Lazur, and Armogeddon. The map was designed with Base Assult , Domination, and Capture the Flag in mind. However HQ and Retrieval should play well too. For Death Match and Team Deathmatch it might be too big. There are many buildings to fight and hide in. Most of the buildings along the back edges of the map cannot be entered so as to force the players to move up. This is also a good jeep racing map as the roads along the outside form a big race course. This map supports all game types. DM TDM SD BAS RE HQ. I used prefabs for a couple of the buildings and for the game types CTF BAS SD and RE. My thanks to the people over at Modsonline who made these.
