The glass is twice as big as it needs to be. lol. Sorry, I'm an engineer.

Depends on what the glass contains. If it's full of some awesome drink like chocolate milk, then it's too empty. Likewise, if it has <insert worst beverage imaginable> then it's way too full. Assuming you had to drink whatever was in the glass. All I know is, there's money to be made in betting your friends you can't drink a whole glass of random crap.

When my glass is half empty or half full...I just wonder who the hell is drinking my beverage!

#7 - Posted by: alvaroM (Member) on 01-12-2009 at 18:23
Dammit, I thought you wouldn't notice, BG12USSSA! I would've gotten away with it too if it weren't for you meddling kids and your talking dog!

The glass contains half of the total amount of liquid. I'm a realist.

#9 - Posted by: Lanf (Member) on 01-13-2009 at 02:16
all depends whether it has been poured only half full, or drank half empty...

#10 - Posted by: Valonqar (Member) on 01-13-2009 at 10:35
I agree with #8. The glass contains half of its full capacity of liquid.

Lol, this is an old optimist - pessimist trick I learned from. An optimist looks at things on the bright side, he would say it's half full, in a "There's plenty left!" way. A pessimist see's everything as negative, so he would say it's half empty, as in somone already consummed so much of it!

interesting that its like When a tree falls in a forest and nobody around to hear it does it make a sound? or What is the sound of one hand clapping  Think about that until your brain explodes and eat it like scrambled eggs for breakfast:p

Yeah And when they said the suit came with a pair of pants why did I just get one. And if the egg came first who sat on it, Darwin?

#18 - Posted by: KnifeInFace (Member) on 01-15-2009 at 15:43
If you fill a glass with water and stop half way, it's half full If you drink a glass of water and stop half way, it's half empty. That's how I always understood it anyway.

There aren't enough options on the poll.

#20 - Posted by: AussieGeneral (Member) on 01-16-2009 at 03:12
#18 thats a good idea but what if you found it like that how would you know

 #21 - Posted by: Darth_Kenobi (Member) on 01-16-2009 at 06:22
if it was half full/half empty, i would just find more to make it full, or drink up to make it empty

 #22 - Posted by: hady9090 (Member) on 01-16-2009 at 22:34
You know how they say people that say the glass is half full are optimists, and people that say the glass is half empty are pessimists? They don’t really specify what the glass is full of. What if its a half a glass of sh’t? As an optimist I would like to see it has half empty. Baby blood is even more confusing, cause is this blood going TO a baby, or coming FROM a baby? Cause if it’s coming from a baby, I’m gonna say “All right, calm down, it’s a half-empty glass of baby blood, no big deal. Don’t ask me how I got it, just listen to what I’m saying. But if it's going to a baby..........

 #23 - Posted by: Cyber_Commando (Member) on 01-17-2009 at 12:55
I think that it's holding half of it's capacity.

 #24 - Posted by: C2HSteve (Member) on 01-17-2009 at 18:11
I agree with #18 completely, but I was also aware of the paradox #20 brings up. If I were to happen upon said paradox I would just call it half filled.

#25 - Posted by: AussieGeneral (Member) on 01-18-2009 at 22:20
Baby blood lol but we all have some interesting points here and some of them are understandable its is becoming almost daily to check this poll because of its interesting topics :)
