Here's a sweet mod by Broadus that should certainly bring your Call of Duty single-player experience to new horizons! :) It's similar to the mods released for CoD2 that change your Allied players into Germans and vice versa, but this one does quite a bit more. ;) It features changes in not only the human players but also the tanks and other related things as well! Anyway, check out the screenshots to see it all in action, and download this cool CoDSP mod now!
1 - Captain Price in disguise. 2 - For the Fatherland! 3 - I was trying to take a picture of an enemy tank looking like a T34, though it's hard to tell in this pic. However, there's a friendly German nearby, so it's two-in-one proof of the changes. Or one-and-a-half. 4 - Captain Foley in a German uniform, paying his dues to a fallen comrade. 5 - Some Russians that look like Germans standing next to some friendly Tiger tanks (instead of T34s). 6 - A picture of the player as a Panzer IV next to some friendly Panzer IVs.
Call of Duty Axis Player DESCRIPTION Simply enough, this switches the Axis with the Allies and vice versa. All teammates will be German and all enemies will be Americans, Russians and British. You'll see more Americans than anything on generally any level. Difficulty is dramatically increased because the enemies are now Allies, which are stronger than the Germans which are now teammates. Teammates are killed quite easily, so I made every teammate virtually invincible. Not every teammate will be invincible because they're given a custom amount of health on certain levels, which is a part of the .bsp that can't be modified. Please take a moment to read the KNOWN PROBLEMS (below) before you report any problems the game has, as I'm well aware of many of them. I released a mod called Super AI Loadout in which teammates and enemies are given pistols and 99 grenades, and I decided to stick that into this mod as well. Don't worry, there won't be too many grenades. It will feel much like the old game, except you'll have to stay on your toes a little more. I'll be working on a United Offensive version of this very mod soon. SCREENSHOT DESCRIPTIONS AP1 - Captain Price in disguise. AP2 - For the Fatherland! AP3 - I was trying to take a picture of an enemy tank looking like a T34, though it's hard to tell in this pic. However, there's a friendly German nearby, so it's two-in-one proof of the changes. Or one-and-a-half. AP4 - Captain Foley in a German uniform, paying his dues to a fallen comrade. AP5 - Some Russians that look like Germans standing next to some friendly Tiger tanks (instead of T34s). AP6 - A picture of the player as a Panzer IV next to some friendly Panzer IVs. INSTALLATION Extract SP_COD_axisplayer.pk3 into your Main folder. THINGS I'D LIKE TO ADD IN THE FUTURE I would've liked to make the Tiger tank optionally playable instead of just the Panzer IV, but the Tiger tank had problems in which the turret wouldn't properly align with the crosshair of the player, and so the turret would keep turning, along with the player's screen. I'd also like to fix the many KNOWN PROBLEMS (below), but they are either unfixable of I have no idea how to fix them. KNOWN PROBLEMS PATHFINDER - The player is given American weapons. Temporary Solution: This must be ignored, as the player is given the weapons in the map and maps cannot be modified. When you're about to finish Pathfinder (Captain Foley will go into a trench), open the console and type Map Burnville so that you'll get German weapons. ANY LEVEL THAT APPLIES - Allies are horribly slaughtered by the enemy, even on Greenhorn, given 100,000 health. Difficulty is increased dramatically (in comparison to the original difficulties). Allies seem to only spawn with Kar98ks and the rare MP40, so allies are less effective. Temporary Solution: Make all allies invincible. It may be extreme, but in many levels, every single ally would die when they normally wouldn't. ANY LEVEL THAt APPLIES - Support Gunners (normally guys with M1 Carbines, but given FG42s in this mod) never appear anywhere on any level. Temporary Solution: This is annoying, and I have no idea what causes it. This may also effect the Russians and the British. ANY LEVEL THAT APPLIES - Any weapon the player leaves on the ground loses almost all of its ammo, especially German weapons. Temporary Solution: This will have to be ignored until I can find out what causes this. ANY LEVEL THAT APPLIES - Enemies drop huge amounts of ammo, but allies drop a lot less. Temporary Solution: Again, ignored. This is probably because of the switch in weapons, as German weapons, which are in great abundance, are meant to drop less ammo. ANY LEVEL THAT APPLIES - Certain characters will look like Russians or British because they're xmodels, rather than aitypes. This means that, rather than being fighting entities, they're just animations. Temporary Solution: Just ignore it. Seriously. It'd be nice if they looked like what they're supposed to be, but it's hardly a real problem. ANY LEVEL THAT APPLIES - Static Tiger tanks aren't replaced by the T34. Temporary Solution: The model, which is literally called a static Tiger tank, can't be replaced because that would require a static T34 model, which the game doesn't include. It's not that big of a deal and thus can be easily ignored. Also, friendly Tiger tanks will be black, which easily avoids any sort of confusion. ANY LEVEL THAT APPLIES - Captain Price doesn't have a mustache until he's disguised! Temporary Solution: I couldn't give the main characters specific heads, because the game would crash because of the same thing that crashes Stalingrad and Berlin (below). DAWNVILLE (And any level that applies) - Enemy tanks will not fire their machine guns. Temporary Solution: This problem does decrease difficulty, but it will have to be ignored. DAWNVILLE - An enemy tank is supposed to be destroyed by two soldiers throwing a grenade inside, but they never do. Temporary Solution: The player can still destroy the tank with a panzerfaust, so the problem isn't that bad. STALINGRAD - The game crashes when the player recieves the ammo on the docks. This is because the Commissars are supposed to be replaced with German officers, but they will still look like Russian Commissars. This problem does not occur in Red Square. Temporary Solution: Sometimes the game would crash, and sometimes it wouldn't. I'm not sure what to do to prevent it. You'd be advised to skip Stalingrad entirely, as it is problematic. Load a saved game or start a new game with the difficulty you want to play the game at, then open the console and type map redsquare. If you can tell me a way to fix the Stalingrad crash, go ahead and tell me, so I can fix up Stalingrad! BRECOURT (And any level that applies) - There are no MP40 Lieutenants in the beginning, even though at the end of the Car Ride level, there were Lieutenants. Soldiers with MP40s will still appear, but they won't be Lieutenants. Temporary Solution: This problem isn't that bad, as there's nothing truly special about a Lieutenant in-game, and there are still soldiers with MP40s. TRUCK RIDE/AIR FIELD - There are no drivers in any of the vehicles. The player gets a Bren instead of an MP44. Temporary Solution: I have no idea why. Kind of creepy, because the vehicles will still move and whatnot. There are hardly any passengers in the trucks, and no passengers in the cars, so this removes some of the excitement from the level. Just shoot at where the drivers and passengers would normally be. BERLIN - When I had made it to the end of Berlin, the game had crashed because of the same problem that crashes Stalingrad. Temporary Solution: Luckily, once you get to that point, you've already beaten the game and it doesn't matter. Congrats! You defeated the Allies and retook Berlin!
