INSTALLATION

N.B. This mod is single player ONLY! (I'd be strung up if I made it MP :))

It is considerd good practice to back up any/all data files before any modification of any computer program. - Therefore, I strongly advise backing up any saved game files you have before installing this mod.

Copy the file ZZZ_SP_CiderColt_rel_V1.0.pk3 into your Call of Duty \main directory. 


TO REMOVE 

Delete/remove this mod from your Call of Duty \main directory.

CiderColt started as an experiment when I was attempting to write a mod my clan's server. 
As I couldn't find any mods to fine tune our 'rifle only' PRM server, I was forced to have a go myself. I had a look into the Call of duty files & started to mess around with some settings to see what I could do.

I was inspired by the little gun (the Cricket) issued to Will Smith in M.I.B. & also the many SCI_FI films/TV that have used WW2 as a plot line/location.

This is the end result - A super powerful pistol with the following features...

-Fully automatic 
-Fires high velocity explosive rounds
-Accurate from the hip
-Scoped for range
-Large clip
-High bash damage
-Increased running speed

However, there is a downside to all this. Due to the explosive nature of the rounds & the high rate of fire of this pistol - You don't want to be going 'Rambo' with it in an enclosed space - enough said! :) 

In addition - All grenades are now 'cookable' with a 4 second fuse. (COD supports this feature - they just turned it off. Probably so they can make a big song & dance about "COOKABLE NADES' in the expansion pack - it's gonna take a programmer all of 2 minutes to do it).

KNOWN ISSUES/BUGS

If you play a multiplayer game with this mod installed, the Colt & Luger fire sounds you (but not others) hear will be from this mod. This is because the sounds for weapons are the same for SP & MP. All other settings are controlled by the MP host. Also, you may not be able to connect to pure servers with this mod installed.

Some Tanks/trucks cannot be destroyed with this weapon - these are scripted events & are not designed to be destroyed.

Sometimes upon a direct hit on a soldier - the round will not explode - just consider these as 'duds'.

During testing, I once spawned from an old saved game with no ammo for any weapon! This was cured by opening the console & entering the command /map_restart

During the truck ride between the dam & airfield, sometimes the scoped sights go off centre - I've no idea why!

If you have any problems running this mod, then please remove any/all other mods from your Call of Duty \main directory & try again.

If you think you have found a bug - then please let me know & I'll try to fix it :) (Screenshots/saved game would help a lot).

Poolmasters's Realism Mod (PRM_realism) 
-Shellshock from explosions, also smaller shock from bash & fall damage
-Forced prone/weapon drop when hit
-4 second cookable nades

My server mod (ZZZzzzCIDER_4pis2garBRITasUSFastKar_V4.4.pk3)
-4 Rounds in all pistols
-2 Rounds in Garand (just in case we ever need it)
-American maps now played as British to balance rifle only gameplay
-Faster run speed & mid clip reloading for Kar.
