Intensity is a full weapon conversion for the CoD single player campaign, version 1.4. By 'full weapon conversion', basically every weapon you encounter has a new and different bag of tricks. Most of them have a fresh new sound(s) and feel. I am also doing my best to keep balance intact.
======Intensity: A Call of Duty 1.4 Full Weapon Conversion README======= Version .4 Alpha Author: Arkanin (firstname.lastname@example.org) Installation: place the pk3 file in your call of duty/main directory. Unless you know what you are doing, I don't suggest you run other mods at the same time, as conflicts may occur. You can always try, but please don't expect it to work, as this mod changes quite a lot. IMPORTANT: I strongly suggest you don't load your old save games. Please start over and run through boot camp and what have you. Saved games should work, but you will likely have weapons with too much / too little ammo in the clips, or all your ammo will disappear altogether. This mod is NOT meant to work with old savegames: it's meant to be played from the start and enjoyed as you go. I also caution that the game is harder than it used to be. If you are pretty decent and (like me) have not had that bad a time on the hardest difficulty on regular CoD, I suggest you play it safe and stick to normal or at most hardened as you try to play through this mod for the first time. Anyway, remember to ALWAYS CHECK YOUR WEAPONS' SECONDARY FEATURES. For example, the Valkyrie LMG can fire a breach-loaded HE round or fully automatic weapons fire. And try to hit your target with those HE rounds; they do more damage that way. ;) Enjoy! Features: -Greater difficulty -New weapon types (such as grenade launchers) never before seen -Contact grenades -16 new weapons -- may eventually feature 30 or more. -New refreshing high-quality sounds for new weapons. -New skin for the mp44 -Much more ========================================================== Weapon Descriptions ========================================================== These are the weapons that you will encounter in this version of intensity. More will come soon and (hopefully) there will be more than one new weapon for each old weapon! M1 Carbine - Scoped M2 (Aim down sight for scope) This excellent weapon is an enhanced m1 carbine, with 25 round clip capacity and a scope. You start a level with this weapon, and you may find it on the ground in certain places. GRENADES Frag Grenade - Plastique Frag Grenade: This grenade is more powerful and more deadly than it used to be. Stilehandgranate - Deutschehandgranate : This grenade now has slightly lower damage, but has a very impressive explosion radius. Given the stick, it can also be thrown slightly farther. MK-1 British Frag Grenade - MK-2 Bomb: This miniature bomb creates an extremely large explosion. You can only carry two of these. RGD-33 Russian Frag - RGD-43: These grenades explode on impact. Bren - Churchill LMG: This weapon fires low calibur rounds at an incredibly high rate of fire with an outstanding clip size (200). Mosin Nagant - Semi-1: This scoped weapon deals high damage and fires shots in rapid succession. This weapon is not completely implemented at this time -- it doesn't have a new sound and it hasn't quite yet been fully balanced. M1 Garand - Grenade Launcher: 4 shot capacity firer of highly explosive grenades. This is in fact a grenade launcher; the grenades do in fact arc. Kar98k - Valkyrie LMG: This powerful weapon has a breach-loaded 10mm HE round attachment. In its secondary mode, it is a light machine gun which can be fired from the hip and has a very generous 100-shot clip. If you are wondering why this mod is so difficult, you are looking at the reason why -- your german friends fire explosive rounds! BAR - Heavy Rifle: This behemoth fires huge bullets. The recoil is difficult to manage, but the bullets are almost always deadly. Its secondary feature lobs deadly mini-grenades that explode on contact. MP40 - Scorpion SMG: This weapon fires a fairly low-caliber round, but it is accurate and extremely easy to fire. Thompson - Sprayer SMG: This weapon fires very quickly in its primary mode, but is very inaccurate. In high-impact mode (secondary fire) it fires much more slowly, but is extremely easy to control and deals more damage per shot. Sten - : This weapon fires small rockets at a high rate of fire. They move fairly quickly and strike their target for reasonable damage. PPsh - Heavy Munitions Launcher: The HML is found on the ground in a few places. MP44 - Eagle Heavy Assault Rifle: this rifle can fire standard bullets or incendiary rounds. M1 Carbine - M40**NOT YET IMPLEMENTED**: The m40 lacks a scope and only has a 10 round clip, but its larger rounds frequently kill the enemy in one shot. You will generally only find this weapon being carried by your allies; If they die, it will fall on the ground and you can use it. In this mod, the pistols have been improved substantially while the other weapons are about the same. The end result is pistols that are pretty useful. A primary weapon of the same type is better, and some (Eagle, M2) are just plain better in any situation than the versatile pistols, but if you want to carry two fairly specialized weapons, your pistol is very useful. Also, they are both much more accurate down the sight; they can be effective at medium to long ranges if you are a good shot. Colt - Match-12 Pistol: This colt is very accurate aiming down the sight, but not from the hip. It has a 12-shot capacity and will fire as fast as you pull the trigger. Luger - Python: This pistol is currently fairly similar to the match-12. It is less deadly but has a 21-round clip. NOT YET FINISHED: -Sniper Rifles are unchanged (Kar98k scope, Springfield, Mosin-Nagant Sniper Rifle). -FG-42 is unchanged. -Enfield is unchanged. -I am not satisfied with the implementation of the russian weapons (Semi-1 and HML). These will probably be changed very significantly in new versions. -I am going to be adding many new weapons. Soon, the weapons in this version will likely only be found on the ground while the new weapons will be found on enemies; some "classic weapons" may be implemented.
