File Description

Here's an interesting little script by Mr_Nickle for any of the CoD games. To make a long story short, you press numpad 9 to increase chatbox display time, numpad 8 to decrease display time, and numpad 7 to view only team messages. If you find that useful, give this a download. ;)

Hey all! I'm Mr_Nickle, this is my thirteenth submission to CoDfiles!
*-Please note-* *-All requests I get, I make & release, that's why I am releasing this-*

Short Description
Press Numpad 9, and the time that the Chat-text, shows up on screen, will increase. Pressing Numpad 8, will make it decrease! And pressing Numpad 7, will make you only to be able to see, the text that your team types/says. To figure out how many seconds, the chat will be displayed for, just open up console! This script was a request.

Installation
Place JHchat.cfg into your Call of Duty/Main folder. (Or for UO in your Call of Duty/UO folder) (Or for CoD2 in your Call of Duty 2/Main folder)

Launch CoD and open CONSOLE by pressing ~ . Now do /exec JHchat
This must be done EVERY time to launch CoD. If you are lazy like me and do not want to type it every time you launch CoD, continue reading. If you prefer to just type it in every time, go to the "Customize" section.

Follow these instructions on how to edit your CoD Shortcut!
- Right click on your CoD/CoD UO/CoD2 shortcut.
- It should say something like "C:\Program Files\Call of Duty Game of the Year Edition\CoDMP.exe"
- Add "exec JHchat" WITHOUT the quotation marks.
- Now it should look something like this: "C:\Program Files\Call of Duty Game of the Year Edition\CoDMP.exe" exec JHchat
- Click OK and then next time you launch CoD/CoD UO/CoD2 it will automatically exec the .cfg

A common question I get is this "How do I add multiple scripts to my shortcut?" Well, it's rather simple. Just add ; exec (Filename)
So now, with multiple scripts added to the shortcut, it should look something like this:
"C:\Program Files\Call of Duty Game of the Year Edition\CoDMP.exe" exec JHchat; exec JHsomething
You could add a countless number of those onto the end as long as it ALWAYS is "; exec name-of-script-here" Without quotations

Customize (Switch which key it binds it to)
-Open JHchat.cfg with Notepad, Microsoft Word or Wordpad.
-Look for where it says KP_PGUP
-Replace KP_PGUP with whichever key you prefer to use to increase chat display time. Make sure you replace ALL KP_PGUP or the script will not work.
-Now look for KP_UPARROW
-Replace all KP_MINUS with which ever key you want to use to decrease chat display time.
-For switching the Team Chat Only key, replace KP_HOME, with your preferd key!
