Here's another mod for original Call of Duty by PlusIce called the Project FK Mod. It was based on some other mod called the FKMOD and features all sorts of new things for your multi-player game including scope skins, a compass, a new menu, and all sorts of skins. ====Notes====
I based this mod off of FKMOD v1.9. I Removed the MC blood fix and added AWE 2.12, 
and other eye candy.This mod is picky so most AWE stuff doesn't work. However if
you are only looking for a little bit of AWE than this is the mod for you.
