Apolyton Civilization Site is today releasing the first part of an audio interview with Firaxis Games Designer/Programmer Soren Johnson on Civilization IV. It`s the first in a three-part verbal chat with Johnson, CivIV`s Lead Designer, as part of ACS` "Game Developer Series" (GDS) served through its Radio (ACSR) service. Johnson is interviewed by ACS Co-Owner/Administrator Daniel "DanQ" Quick, who is also ACSR`s Station Manager. Topics include but are not limited to general CivIV game points (e.g. game speed, space victory), specific in-game element issues (e.g. lethal bombard, forest planting), and the CivIV designer`s gaming history from his post-secondary studies to today. The full 26m:32s of this part of the Quick-Johnson discussion is available for streaming on demand in MP3 format, as is the two-minute promo for Part 2 which alternatively runs after the conclusion of Part 1. For best results, ACS recommends the Winamp application from Nullsoft.Well, that's a good interview, interesting!
