Gamespot.com added an interview with Greg Kasavin today, giving us more details about the upcoming RA3 expansion.
It will be PC- and SP-only, priced at $ 19.99 and won't require the main game to play, possibly aquirable exclusively per download. Features include 4 mini-campaigns, one centering entirely on the origins of the Imperial commando Yuriko, which is also going to be a dungeon crawler type of play, 30 min. HD-FMVs, 50 commander challenges (such as to fight against an extremely tough war bear :D), 30 new skirmish maps (For instance a gloomy European village with low fog) and 11 units, of which Kasavin is explaining one silly, yet awsometastic Imperial unit in the interview:
One of my favorite to use is the Empire of the Rising Sun's Giga Fortress, the biggest and strongest new unit we're introducing. It's this gigantic, starfish-shaped floating fortress that can transform into a monstrous, flying Sinistar-style head that shoots a devastating beam weapon out of its mouth. It should more than make up for the Empire's lack of a heavy flying unit until now.
All in all, the expansion seems to be of great value, especially for the core, singleplayer-fans.
