Desert Rats is a two playery map that has a basic layout and other things.
Detail- There isn't detail in this map at all. The ground texture is pretty much the same though out the entire map, making rushes very boring and attacking is just as relentless. The only detail in the map is in the tiberian fields, but even that isn't much.
Game play- Wide open areas isn't exactly what I call game play, sadly that's all the map has. The player could sneak attack the other player or flank them because of the wide open spaces, but this isn't different than any other big map.
The amount of tiberium on the map leaves players to fight huge battles, but since the map is so bland, it's not really fun in the early game.
-------- Desert Rats -------- Mao Author: =WGO=Zeek FileFront username: afcgrimm Description: Desert Rats is a desert themed map (Obviously) that is based more on gameplay rather than eye candy. It features an Abandoned Oil mining Facility, a plame crash, some old 20th century ruins, and Tiberium Infection. The weather is fierce, with a sandstorm, Ion Storms, and Tiberium Fields between you and your enemy, you'll have to fight the enviroment itself along with it. Gameplay: Vision is lower than average on this map, and there are Ion storms near most areas, the centre of the map is clear though. Both sides start with a Red Zone, and there are several tiberium fields around the map.Sand dunes minimize building space. Layout: There are two players on this map, one to the north, and another to the south. As stated before, there are alot of resources, but you will probably have to fight your enemy for control of it. Installation: Unzip the file to your Command & Conquer 3 directory, not in the subfolders. You will need a ZIP program like winRAR, WinZip, or ZipGenius.
