With Westwood Studios, EA Pacific and DreamWorks Interactive consolidated into one EALA, unfortunatly, many people have lost their jobs at WS or have chosen not to move with the studio to LA. This, obviously, cause the entire project to be put on a backburner till a team can be put to working on it full time. And, with the Water's Edge EALA facility not ready, all three studios were cramped in the old DreamWorks Interactive facility. So no new hirings, new teams to dedicate to other projects. However, the move to the Water's Edge facility has finally been completed. Which means, for those people that understand internal trends, inter office politics and the gaming business at all, that they can now start hiring and dedicate teams. Just as has been planned for the EALA studio all along. What do we have though, right now? The original C&C creators, Brett Sperry and Joe Bostic are not with EALA. However, both of the lead designers that were with the C&C team from the begining (some more than others) and all the way to Firestorm, are with EALA; Adam Isgreen and Mike Lightner. Rade Stojsavljevic, the producer of Tiberian Sun and Firestorm is with EA, although currently not at EALA. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EA insiders have not only let slip that work is definitely underway on Command & Conquer 3 but have also divulged its full name - Command & Conquer 3: Tiberian Twilight - according to the latest reports bouncing around the 'Net. Okay, so you might be tempted to file the question of whether there's going to be a third C&C instalment under 'tales of the bleeding obvious'- you may as well ask 'hey I wonder if there's going to be a FIFA 2006 next year?'. However, the alleged new name is indeed a new detail and would seem plausible enough given its Tiberian Sun predecessor. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Still, take this with a grain of salt as EA still doesn't want to officially comment on anything concerning a new Command&Conquer title so treat it as a rumor Here are some pics: by: Mr.Funsocks
