With inclusions of sniper, aurora n etc for the China side, its one side you will think twice facing them. Nicely done, but the sad part is all are ini. edited. So you dont get to see new units with new skins/models. Thats the downside, but at least someone cares to do something for this side!! Overall nicely done, but would have loved to see new units with new models/skins.

Installation Procedure:

 

Extract the contents of the .zip file into the "Data" folder in your Command & Conquer Generals directory

 

 

IF YOU HAVE INSTALLED YOUR GAME IN THE DEFAULT DIRECTORY HERES WHERE TO PLACE THE FOLDER:

 

C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command and Conquer Generals\Data\   <--- (I think)

 

Place the generals.csf file in your English folder:

C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command and Conquer Generals\English\

 

To Un-install:

 

Simply re-name the INI folder or Delete it

Hints & Tips

-----------------------------------

 

1.Don't bother to buy the Dragon Aurora unless you are planning to buy the Nuke Warheads upgrade as well. They're absolutely useless with out it.

 

2.Building an airfield early on in the game and using the Napalm Strike against your opponents can be very useful.

 

3.Use your starting units to capture Tech Buildings early on in the game.

 

4.The Chinese Snipers are completely useless vs. Infantry and are even more useless when used alone. Use them only as spies and to stop stealth heroes sneaking into your base. Best used in groups of 3.

 

5.On very small maps, or in maps where your base is very close to your opponents. you can use your starting units to destroy your enemy base within the first half minute of the game.

Laser Tank Cheat mode:

There is a set of in-built laser weapon sets and locomotors for a Laser Lank. To activate this cheat do the following:

 

open the file &quot; FactionUnit.INI &quot; placed in the INI folder
search for &quot; Object:GattlingTank &quot;
change these lines:

WeaponSet 
Conditions = None 
Weapon = PRIMARY GattlingTankGun 
PreferredAgainst = PRIMARY AIRCRAFT
Weapon = SECONDARY GattlingTankGunAir
End

TO

WeaponSet
Conditions = None 
Weapon = PRIMARY LaserTankGun
PreferredAgainst = PRIMARY AIRCRAFT
Weapon = SECONDARY GattlingTankGunAir

( You have to change GattlingTankGun to LaserTankGun )


Then change this:

TO

Locomotor = SET_NORMAL LaserTankLocomotor


Now start the game and build a Gattling Tank tank and check out its new capabilities!

Known Bugs & Errors

-----------------------------------

 

There are three known bugs and errors:

 

1. The Dragon Aurora Nuke Warhead may not detonate when fired at units at full range while holding down the &quot;Ctrl&quot; key.

There are two ways to fix this, first is to order the Dragon Aurora to go a bit closer to the target and then launch the bomb. Second is to Edit the Weapon.INI file and decrease the &quot;AuroraBombWeaponX&quot; range by about 200-300 points. I don't recommend that you should edit any of the INI files if you don't know what you're doing. A single mistake can make the whole game engine crash.

 

2. In some Computers, when this mod is in use, save game files (except the mission start save games) may not load and an error message will pop up. I don't know why this happens and why it doesn't happen with all computers, but the only solution is to delete the Mod.

 

3. The Command & Conquer : Generals World Builder program may not work when the mod is installed. The only solution is to Re-Name the INI folder when you want to use the world builder and then just change the name back when you're done.
