A nice map, although I feel that the AI was a little predictable this is not at all a major fault, this happens on a great number of maps, including those included in the game. Very enjoyable for human vs human play as there is plenty of room to build your bases. A simple four player map, one player to a corner. Seems to be equally well suited to Free for all or team play.
Although there are a lot of oil derricks on the map this does not disrupt the balance of the game. All derricks are roughly equidistant from each player, and due to the lack of much in the way of supply docks/piles (2 per player) are essential if a long game is desired. There is also a small oil refining plant (note not the tech building type) that has four derricks within it in the central island, which adds to the character of the map.
Each of the four bases has a pair of access ramps leading up, although these do hinder attacking they aid base defence, Swings and Roundabouts I guess, depends on what you prefer, one ramp in each base is fitted out with a bunker.

Careful on the installation though. This does not follow the normal installation rules. Unzip straight to the C drive.

FILES: up hill battle.map(the map): up hill battle.tga(the preview pic) :up hill battle.txt(your reading it now!) Problems/Bugs/Suggestions/Feedback : email@example.com Hi, Nutter here !! :o) Right ! How to install this Map ?? Well if you are reading this you have opened the up hill battle.zip file. Select all three files (Ctrl+a) and click Extract. Extract to your desktop then browse down the folders untill you get to the up hill battle folder, copy this folder to...Drive:\My Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Data\Maps or where ever your \Command and Conquer Generals Data\Maps folder is kept. That's it ! Fire up Generals and go to Unofficial Maps to select this map online or skirmish. If ONLINE/LAN the map will transfer to other players who do not have it automatically. TIPS: Play a few skirmish games with 1 Hard, 1 Brutal and 1 normal AI to learn the map. Take advantage of the Derricks use the bunkers provided to help defend them. Defend the choke points to your base. The rest is up to you to find out. Ways to play: Well 2v2 North v South is a common favourite but you might like to try East V West too ! or just all v all. The map works well however you want to team up. Nutter's Challenge: Play Against 3 Brutal AI on team 2 with you on team 1 on a game speed no less than 50 ! Above all have fun. Please remember to send comments to me, I know e-mailing is not fun, but it's the only payment I get for my work and a indication that I should make more maps. I make maps in my spare time and what makes it worth it, is feedback from people who have DL's my maps, if anyone can be bothered to send me a mail then I must have had (not fun) it means a lot to me. Suggestions for a map you would like/ drawings I can work off are excepted ONLY with a detailed description of what you want the map to play like. This map is Copyright of Bloody Nutter 2003 and you may use it and distribute it as much as you like ! E-Mail firstname.lastname@example.org
