Vulcan Assault

This is the v2 of my map Vulcan Assault, it was previously released on Crysis-France and I would like to thanks every crysis-france members for test my map and found bugs. Well, most of the bugs are now fixed and the map has been translated to english for crymod community

North Korea has discovered an enormous oil reserve on its territory, just when the international economic oil crisis was at its peak, as every other petrol reserve in the world are now depleted.

It has now been several months since various countries have renewed their offers to buy oil from North Korea, but none are accepted and North Korea refuses to share its oil supplies.

The United States of America declares war on North Korea.

The North Korean government declares war on the USA.

Following a satellite swipe of the area, the American satellite Arcas has detected a strong military presence on the North Korean island “Vulcan”, located to the east of North Korea.

30 August 2013
The operation “Vulcan Spy” is put into action by the USA, as an elite group of soldiers is sent on the island to gather intelligence on the North Korean’s activity. Their latest reports indicate that a weapon is currently being developed in the laboratories located in the crater of the island.

31 August 2013
All communications with the elite group of soldiers have been lost.

5 September 2013
You are Nomad, an elite soldier from the American army. Your mission is to take control of the secret weapon currently in development, as a jet will take care of destroying the North Korean base. You will be accompanied by a Vtol who will observe your actions and guide you from a high altitude.

The operation “Vulcan Assault” has began.

    * Fast action map, you wont be bored, the map isnt big

Installation guide:

   1. Go to your Crysis game folder -> Electronic Arts -> Crytek -> Crysis -> Game -> Levels.
   2. Eventually backup existing levels with the same name.
   3. Copy the level folder from the downloaded file into the current game folder (Game/Levels).
   4. Start Crysis
   5. Open console and type in "con_restricted 0" (without "") to allow access to console commands
   6. Load your custom map by typing in "map mapname" (Without "") and press Enter.
