We've learned some new information regarding the RPG elements of the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt Red, including some more information about "lifepaths" system that will allow you to take different paths through he game depending on choices.
Quest director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz confirmed that the game will include all the traditional RPG elements, including skill trees, special stats and more - all pretty standard for an RPG. Where it gets interesting is the new "lifepath" system that the game uses.
You can check out the video below, posted to Twitter, where he explains in detail;

Lifepaths will be determined by the character you choose at the start of the game. There's three different paths, that of Street Kid, Corpo or Nomad - and each will offer a different story and experience.
On top of that, we also have this thing called the 'lifepaths,' which are the origins of our character that we choose at the beginning of the game, when we create the character. So for example, you might imagine that if you're a street kid you'll have an easier time talking to different gangs, or if you're a corporate, you might have an advantage over people from the corporations, since you know how they think and how they operate.
The feature will add a lot of replayability to the game, according to Tomaszkiewicz, and despite the company changing the official blurb for the game from "Role-playing game" to "open-world action-adventure" - he assures us that this will still be "first and foremost" an RPG game.
