We reported recently on the reveal of the various many Cyberpunk 2077 editions, with your usual collector's edition, and extras for pre-ordering, but this has caused the usual concern among gamers that people willing to spend more will get an unfair advantage when it comes to in-game content.
CD Projekt Red have now spoken out to allay those fears, confirming that regardless of which edition you buy, you'll still get the exact same in-game content. Speaking in a private Twitter conversation to one gamer, the company said;
No, we don't do that. Every person that buys the game gets exactly the same in-game content, no matter if they buy it in preorders, on release date or 2 years later. ;)
This basically confirms pre-ordering won't net you any exclusive in-game content, at least, and that any other editions won't be adding exclusive gear or missions, either.
This is good news for gamers, although not entirely unexpected, as The Witcher 3 had a similar stance on the topic, with gamers of all editions getting the same game content, although some editions did gain you access to later DLC such as Game of the year Edition.
