CD Projekt Red confirmed today that development studio Digital Scapes is coming on board to help with development of Cyberpunk 2077, and while they've not confirmed in what aspect, the studio is well known for their multiplayer games, specialising in "bespoke PVP gameplay for AAA PC and console titles".

The official announcement only went as far as to say that the two studios would be collaborating on "technological soutions" for the game, but didn't go into any more specific details.

As mentioned, Digital Scapes have worked on the multiplayer aspect of games before, with examples of their previous work including contributions to Company of Heroes, Warhammer 40K and Dying Light's DLC. Digital Scapes studio head Marcin Chady said;

The game has not yet got a release date, but is expected sometime in 2019.
