This is a cool idea from Dancal which adds, you guessed it, slowmotion.
I can send screenshots if you would like but i dont think there would be any point, you cant see slowmotion in a screenshot.
So keeping that in mind, (and I know you all want to see it) I threw together a video of it. Its prety neat, I know I'll be keeping it in my CFG folder.
(NOTE: The white boxes and help messages ARE NOT part of the Mod. These are things I added to demonstrate use and to show clearly whether slowmo was On or Off. They do not appear in game.)
This is based on the halflife 2 bullettime mod, i just took out the lines to do with the phys cannon. This is also a first version i might try adding a visual and audio effect.
My only complaint is that the SDK hasnt been released yet so that effects ect can't be added yet! I cant wait for the next version as this is a cool idea. It works great, just needs some effects perhaps. Like an "ON" sound. Perhaps it could even be turned into some form of spell/ability (used in a similar way to Xana's demon powers). Currently B turns it on and N turns it off. Its nicely done, however does slow the game down ever so slightly (no pun intended :D) but I will take into account that I was using Fraps when I tried it so that may have been the cause.
I imagine that the majority of people will be able to run this no problem.
Great job. Bullet time in a world before bullets existed :D
Slowmotion Config for Dark Messiah This is a simple config file that must be placed inside the folder C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Dark Messiah of Might and Magic\mm\cfg To play start a new game or load an existing one and open the console (~), if the console is not activated you will have to do so in your options. In the console type "exec slowmo" without the speech marks. Now while you are playing press b to enter slowmotion and n to exit back to normal speed. This is based on the halflife 2 bullettime mod, i just took out the lines to do with the phys cannon. This is also a first version i might try adding a visual and audio effect. Dancal.
