Dawn of War DC tactics Mod for Official Campaign

For: Dark Crusade 1.2 + Dawn of Skirmish DC 2.4 or 2.5.

Description:

Many people wanted to add Heroes (experience) and Tactics (auto-ability) mod for Official Kronus Campaign of Dc. Well, here it is. This mod will add Heroes and Tactics mod for ALL ( mean, all missions, including those special missions!) single player campaign missions.

This mod is based on Heroes 2.4 for Dark Crusade, originally developed by Cuttershane and updated by etherdragn and Phelan76.



INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS (PLEASE READ):
-------------------------------------
NOTE: This mod requires Dawn of Skirmish DC 2.4 or 2.5. Please install the mod prior to installing dowtactics mod.
For simplicity's sake I have included the installation file for 2.5.

Extract to your DC main folder and then choose 'dowtactics' in Game Mananger.

Then start a new single player campaign and enjoy!

WARNING: Due to Tacs.scar file, save/reload won't work in single player campaign missions. This bug affects both skirmish and special missions. 
At the moment there is no solution other than finishing the mission in one sitting, or disabling Tactics mod altogether (Hero experience mod can still be activated).

To disble Tacs.scar, edit 'kronus.map' file under '\dowtactics\data\scenarios\SP' by deleting the phrade "Tacs", under DefaultSkirmishWinConditions =.
You also need to delete the phrase 'import("winconditions/Tacs.scar")' from all scar files located under '\dowtactics\data\scenarios\SP'.



CHANGES TO 1.1:

1. Morriah Coast map for Official Kronus Campaign should now work properly.

2. Fire Warrior (Sha'sui) bodyguard and Eldar Exarchs now gain experience.

3. Removed Tau harbingber drone from experience list.

4. Optimized auto-ability feature and included honour guards' abilities.

5. Disabled support feature (targetting of artilleries from DC engine is quite good... why should we need mod for that?)

6. Bug fixes and various modifications as discussed in DOW official forum. For complete list, please refer to changelog at the bottom of readme.
   For those who do not wish to use this feature, please delete 'attrib' folder under 'dowtactics\data' folder.



CUSTOMIZATIONS:
-------------------------------------
You can adjust some attributes, such as weapon range or build speed, to your liking by editing Tacs.SCAR file at Dark Crusade main folder\dowtactics\Data\scar\winconditions.

For the purpose of avoiding as much as modification as possible to original campaign other than to add Heroes and Tactics mod, I have set majority of the attributes to 1.0, i.e. the vanilla setting. 
However, I have also listed some examples used by Heroes 2.4 and 2.5 (kingdom setting) mod for your reference. 
Feel free to paste it or use your own settings!



1. Default settings for Heroes 2.4:

-- Ability recharge time multiplier (min 0.1 / max 2.0)
tac_AbilRecharge = 0.25

-- Amount of wewt per level; the default 5 is fairly high (min 0.0 / max 10.0) IMPORTANT
tac_Buff = 5.0

-- Rate at which builders construct and repair
tac_BuilderBuff = 2.0

-- Increase all building weapon ranges by this factor IMPORTANT
tac_BuildingRange = 2.0

--	Higher numbers will use abilities on weaker foes ( min 1.0 / max 100.0)

-- Increase squad / support / pop caps by this factor (min 0.5 / max 10.0)

CHANGELOG 1.1:

Although I have tried my best to avoid modifying as much as possible to satisfy those purists (I'm one of them), I have included some modifications as well as bugfixes.
For those who do not wish to use this feature, please delete 'attrib' folder under 'dowtactics\data' folder.

1. Bugfix: SM honour guard Librian now has a proper HP.

2. Bugfix: SM Chaplain (both normal and honour guard) now has a proper weapon, and is upgraded via research like force commander and librarian.

3. Bugfix for various wargears (Ork Warboss bighorn and redgob, IG general powerfist, sash and greaves, Tau commander flamer).

4. Bugfix: Upgrading Necron monolith now properly gives HP bonus to Necron Lord, not the monolith.

5. Bugfix: restored icon for Chaos Detector.

6. Bugfix: Summoning Bloodthirster by sacrificing Chaos Sorcerer now does splash damage.

7. Bugfix: Necron Pariah now has proper selection sounds

8. Bugfix: fixed Chaos 'purge the weak' and Ork 'speed boost' upgrades.

9. Modifications: Restored HP and weapon range bonus for IG Listening Post upgrade 2.

10. Modifications: Tau Krootox, Kroot Hounds, and Greater Knarloc now regenerates HP.

11. Modifications: Eldar grav platforms can be repaired, can be attached to the squad (like in Winter Assault), and can benefit from cover.

12. Modifications: SM mine fields now have sight range of 5, same as other races.

13. Modifications: Tau Shield drone (fire warrior/commander) now has proper armour rating

14. Modifications: Tau Firewarrior squad now benefits from having more than one leader of same type.
