File Description

Here is a five player map for Dawn of War: Dark Crusade, a map designed to replicate some of the battles that may have been read in "White Dwarf" where one army is besieged by another, and at the same time there is another fight where the winners of either fight will get to join in on the other fight as reinforcements to the main battle (I hope that didn't confuse anyone :D).

Unfortunately as this is a Beta the textures haven't been finished and the AI doesn't know what to do in this map. Also unfortunately there aren't any screenshots for this file.

Hello and Welcome to 'In to the Valley of the Gnarlocs' BETA, a 2 vs 2 + 1 AI 'Cut Off' map designed by Fuggles.

The idea of this map is to replicate to some extent the battles you may read in White Dwarf where one army is besieged by another, whilst at the same time on a different board there is another fight going on where the winners get to join as reinforcements to the main battle.

Pesky teleporting Eldar aside I hope to have had a fair crack at this. Player 4 will massively out resource player 1, who has to hold out until player 2 can break through player 3 and come to his aid. Unless of course player 1 is overrun, in which case player 4 will come looking for a bit of 2. Player 3's job is simply to hold up player 2 until 4 can do his thing.

To play IttVofG (catchy) correctly you must have it set up with the following conditions.

Players 1 and 2 on one team
Players 3 and 4 on one team
Player 5 run by the computer, ideally as Imperial Guard.
No Take and Hold or Control Area Victory (although assassinate would work well)
Fixed Positions
No resource sharing

It should be a fun map on LAN or interweb as the AI has no idea how to cope with this style of game. Perhaps I will look into that later.

Textures obviously not finished yet, this is BETA after all, but all balance suggestions appreciated. Send all thoughts/suggestions to Fuggles2k[at]yahooDOTcom please/

Many Thanks!
