Overkill? Nah. Loading up Final Fantasy X, getting right to the end of the game, then going back to Besaid Island and having your maxed-stat Valefor use it's Attack command and scoring 7000+ damage on a Dingo that only has 128 HP? That is overkill. 150000 damage on a unit which by default has between 600-1000 HP, is genocide. Plain and simple. :p
Well, this minimod from Hoggins sets your Imperial Guardsmen to do a minimum damage of 150000, and a maximum damage of 20000 (I'm going to assume on good faith that it's supposed to read 2, but the last zero got cut off ;) ).
Obviously, don't play with either the CPU or another human player playing as IG, or you're totally shafted. Which is also an understatement, but I'm not allowed to use the word I'd like to use.
Strictly a fun mod, a boredom mod, or a mod for those times when you just want to mercilessly slaughter helpless armies.
Does what it says on the tin. Some Info: Guardsmen (& Guardsmen only) now have ridiculous ranged firepower. Not for the serious gamer, unless you're feeling like a challenge (or you're the proverbial 'noob'). Some More Info: I have no excuse for this other than "I got bored". Installation: Extract the contents of the file to: C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War - Dark Crusade or if you want to run it in another mod, simply open the .module file of the mod & where it says: RequiredMod.1 = DXP2 RequiredMod.2 = W40K enter in: RequiredMod.3 (or whatever the number after the last one is) = Overkill Guardsmen Legal Stuffs: Do whatever you want with this mod, just give me credit (don't say you made it yourself, although God knows why you'd want to do that). You can contact me at: firstname.lastname@example.org, although it better not be hate-mail...
