File Description

While the battle at Lake Constance (or Lake Acrimony, depending on who was telling the story) proved the 907th Alyeskan Volunteers' worth as a standalone Guard Regiment, it was just business as usual for Freigaard's resident Space Marine Chapter, the Angels Belligerent. Ork raids were not uncommon for Freigaard, and time and again, the Angels would repel them with a strong orange and white fist.

This they did again at the Lake. But whatever was driving Warboss Foulmaul and his Skullbreakaz would not make a furious stand to the last Ork; rather, surviving elements raced past Guard and Marine units, heading south towards the more temperate Jackson Borough.

The chase ended when Captain Adonijah Uziel positioned the 1st Company at the Bridge at Remagen, standing directly in the way of what remained of Foulmaul's Waaauuugggh. Defying any Ork to cross the bridge, he challenged Foulmaul directly, promising a lesson he would directly impart to the Ork's thick skull. He racked his bolter pistol to make his point absolutely clear. Foulmaul took the challenge with a roar, and sent the remainder of his boyz down the bridge.

The veterans of the 1st company tore the Orks to shreds, staining their white armor--the badge of honor of the Angels--with Ork blood and entrails.

But in the confusion, Foulmaul had disappeared...

***INTRO/FLUFF

***INSTALLATION

In addition to the map files, I've added a few bonuses: Mostly banners, a couple of badges, and teamcolor files if ever you want to play the Angels Belligerent (my Space Marines army) against the Skullbreakaz, as fits the scenario described above.

The teamcolor files allow you to use the army schemes in Dawn of War, Winter Assault, Dawn of Steel, Dawn of Skirmish, DowPRO, and DoWXP (all of which are excellent mods that I personally endorse--if you don't have them, what are you waiting for?! Go get 'em!).

Unzip into your Dawn of War directory. All files (map files, banners, badges, and teamcolor files) should fall into place. NOTE: The teamcolor files are set up assuming most players use the "Profile1" folder as their own profile in their Dawn of War/Profiles directory. If not, simply place the teamcolor files where they need to go for your own system.

***ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
Thanks to Buggo at the Relicnews forums for putting together the contest. The "Warboyz" banners and badges are the creation of Hangar-8. The Angels Belligerent banners and badge are an original creation. If you plan on using them in future mods, give credit where it is due.

This map took about 24 hours to create using the Mission Editor, GIMP 2.2, and Irfanview.
