I'm a Space Wolves Fanatic, but I still gotta say Sanguinius for even in the face of certain death, he remained loyal to the Emperor
#2 - Posted by: Nod71 (Member) on 10-27-2008 at 19:32
ya sanguinius...one word...horus...
#3 - Posted by: chaoslordnoga (Member) on 10-27-2008 at 19:44
well i have to go with the blood angel because he fought against his honor brother horus and defended the emperor and died by horus but ferrus manus is just as heroic because he defyed his honor brother fulgrim even as fulgrim tried to turn him yet dying by fulgrim's hand. and its stupid because russ and the lion havent died the lion is in the dungeons of the dark angels fortress monastary and russ is chasing the thousand sons khan died and vulkan did to but they're the least heroic i'd say gulliman and dorn are 2nd behind ferrus manus and sanguinius because they defended the walls of the palace against horus and the other primarchs
#4 - Posted by: WarriorBourne (Member) on 10-27-2008 at 20:49
Yet another obvious poll, Sanguinius All The Way!!!!!!!!!!!
Cant get more heroic that defying the weak sheep around you to fight for something you believe in: rock: , (looks around) oh yeah  :donut:
#5 - Posted by: 1000thSon (Member) on 10-28-2008 at 03:03
This poll was doomed from the start. Sanguinius had the ultimate heroic death.
#6 - Posted by: 1000thSon (Member) on 10-28-2008 at 03:04
Also, where's Corax?
....Oh crap, I knew I forgot something. Thanks for pointing it out!
#7 - Posted by: UnholyGregor (Member) on 10-28-2008 at 04:20
its hard to say which was most heroic besause they all made their own sacrifices ( i said sanguinius but ferrus manus is a close second i think)
#8 - Posted by: UnholyGregor (Member) on 10-28-2008 at 04:22
it doesn't have all the primarchs. corax and the ''trator'' primarchs. night haunters was very heroic... i dont know much about the others... except horus,,,,
#9 - Posted by: Abbadon_the_Despoiler (Staff) on 10-28-2008 at 04:32
Note: For those who are confused - the poll is about loyal primarchs...Not traitors, although the Night Haunter doesn't fall under any.
And I forgot to include Corax, I do a new poll next time with just Corax in. :P
#10 - Ultramarine at heart but Sanguinius has to have it! - Posted by: kwok88 (Member) on 10-28-2008 at 05:02
If you fight Horus at his most powerful then you gotta have balls the size of landraiders! Even alongside the Emperor and Rogal Dorn you're gonna be sweating buckets especially if you have first dibs!
#11 - Posted by: Gazgutz (Member) on 10-28-2008 at 05:29
it's hard to truthully judge Vulkan or Jaghtai in here, as their deaths (or dissapearances) have been.... glossed over. And, TECHNICALLY, Guileman isn't dead. He's in a Stasis field, with an apparently mortal wound, that many claim is healing.....
But, barring all that, I weant with Ferrus. Yes, Sanguinius was tragic and heroic, but having been able to read the actual details of Ferrus Manus death brings it home. Sorry to all the Sanguinius supporters, i'm not saying he wasn't a hero!
#12 - Posted by: Dauri (Member) on 10-28-2008 at 06:54
this poll is kina flawed cause any 1 who doesnt kno about space marine backround doesnt know what the hell were on about
Sanguinius really but i have to go with leman russ
criricise me if u want
#13 - Posted by: georege (Member) on 10-28-2008 at 11:19
Sanguinius gave the emporer time to kill horus so hes gotta win
#14 - Posted by: Tarik_GK (Member) on 10-28-2008 at 12:33
Wait since when was Leman Russ dead. He promised he'd be back for the "wolfing hour?" and disappeared, that is hardly dead. Or Jaghatai Khan for that matter, though seeing as he was a fool enough chase a Dark Eldar lord into the webway he probably would be better off dead than being trapped on Commorragh. And Dorn might not be dead, his hand was the only bit of him recovered and cause of that some claim that he's still alive somewhere.
#15 - Posted by: The_Maticore (Member) on 10-28-2008 at 13:33
hmm there is a lot of choice but i would have to go with..
the poor person charged a baneblade with a knife and being run over just as it got stepped on by a titan
#16 - Posted by: The_Maticore (Member) on 10-28-2008 at 13:34
that was abismal grammer
#17 - Posted by: Cpl_Death (Member) on 10-28-2008 at 15:09
Well technically Jaghatai Khan, Corax, and Leman Russ never died. Jaghatai Khan followed a Dark Eldar Archon through the webway. Corax and Leman Russ both went to the Eye of Terror. The last words Corax said before leaving in a shuttle for the Eye of Terror were "Nevermore...". Leman Russ said he would return for the "Wolf time".
Roboute Guiliman is in stasis, healing veeery slowly, and Lion El'Johnson is kept safe by the Watcher in Dark, I think.
Sanguinius died the most heroically, but I voted for Rogal Dorn, since he attacked a Chaos Cruiser and was never found.
#18 - Posted by: Cpl_Death (Member) on 10-28-2008 at 15:12
Actually I wish I could take my vote back and put it for Sanguinius, but oh well, it's too late now.
#19 - primarch deaths - Posted by: chaoslordnoga (Member) on 10-28-2008 at 16:11
most of these primarchs disappeared , 3 died ferrus manus and sanguinus and dorn, 3 disappeared khan, corax, russ, and 2 are alive known, guilliman and the lion.
corax was honorable even tho foolish. russ is chasing the thousand sons, khan is most likely on commorah or somewhere in the webway, guilliman is on his death bed basically healing, ferrus died by fulgrim, sanguinus killed by horus and dorn died on a chaos cruiser and the lion locked himself in the dark angels fortress.
night haunter was assassinated
and 2 primarchs AND 2 legions are unknown.
and most of the traitors live so.....
no one was that heroic is most of the enemy lives!
#20 - Posted by: Crunchjaw (Member) on 10-28-2008 at 17:58
id say Leman Russ he jumped into the eye of terror and never came back although maybe he didn't die maybe he is although he said he'll be back for Wolf Time it takes some gut to jump into a world of pain
#21 - Posted by: Dimanche (Member) on 10-28-2008 at 20:14
Hmm. This is probably a poll for people who actually played the campaign...
#22 - Posted by: General_Hoss (Member) on 10-28-2008 at 21:17
i like Leman Russ just cause hes got a tank named after him, not just cause he jumped in the eye of terror, but also that too
#23 - Posted by: Vargtassen (Member) on 10-29-2008 at 04:44
Hello, Ferrus Manus!
He and his Iron Hands fought to the end at the Drop Site Massacre and kicked some major ass and his head was severed from his body by Fulgrim and presented to Horus.
Sanguinus my ass, he was like a rage-zombie in power armour. "You shouldn't 'ave gone in like that!"
#24 - Posted by: 1000thSon (Member) on 10-29-2008 at 05:28
Technically we don't know that Rogal Dorn is dead either, as they only found his hand.
#25 - Posted by: darktaukommand (Member) on 10-29-2008 at 17:25
why the hell is lion el'jonson inprisone by his own chapter (you'll have to forgive me i havnt read all of the horus heresy books) ????
#26 - Posted by: eye_of_sauron (Member) on 10-30-2008 at 03:48
I havn't read any of the horus herecy books but I do know that it was Sanguinius who was killed by Horus trying to take him down. That's got to ge worth some credit, trying to take down the most feared warrior in the universe (2nd to the Emperor himself)
#27 - Posted by: woody2 (Member) on 10-30-2008 at 14:02
I went for Sanguinius, although I was thinking of Ferrus.
#28 - Posted by: Jaon (Member) on 10-31-2008 at 04:56
OMG im a soul ultramarines luver and i cant find anything on roboute guilliman!! how did he die!!! he doesnt deserve to be 3rd tho hes not heroic hes just uber smart!!! rogal or sanguinius deservers it, or lion el, even tho i dispise the blood angels for their ultra marine trechery
#29 - Posted by: Jaon (Member) on 10-31-2008 at 05:02
waiiiiiiit someone said ( think it was 12) that sangy gave emperor time to kill horus.>!>!!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?! NO NO NO!!! the emperor just had mercy on horus and was pwned anyway becoz of that, and even in the emperors dying ( ish) moments she pwnt horus with pshykik poworz!!!
#30 - Posted by: Jaon (Member) on 10-31-2008 at 05:08
ummm horrible mistake made by me:
and even in the emperors dying ( ish) moments she pwnt horus with pshykik poworz!!!
i no teh emporors a guy i accidentally did that
#31 - Posted by: WarriorBourne (Member) on 10-31-2008 at 07:30
Joan, why do you always make triple posts? cant you just sum up all your comments into one thing instead of doing that lol, but sanguinius did buy time for the emperor, i dont know what you get your facts from, its in the book, read it lol
#32 - Posted by: Immort_Reaper (Member) on 10-31-2008 at 10:51
Not Leman Russ... I like Magnus, he was the good guy.
I refuse to vote.
#33 - Posted by: Dezaro (Member) on 10-31-2008 at 13:23
I'm totally impartial, I hate Space Marines all the same. They are just too 'Mr Generic'
#34 - Posted by: chaoslordx13 (Member) on 10-31-2008 at 19:46
Chuck Noris
#35 - Posted by: extiusmaster (Member) on 10-31-2008 at 19:49
i'd have to go Sanguinius
but, robute killed 1 primarch and almost banished another to the warp (fulgrim) but instead he got utterly ownt, yeah yeah i know he's in a statis field.
but Sanguinius fought horus one on one, buying time for the emperor and his marines to get to horus.
but ferrus was sent to take down the sons of horus, killed a lot of traitors, but got his head on a spike, now thats ftw.
#36 - Truth - Posted by: honored_Sword (Member) on 11-01-2008 at 05:52
This is an affirmation for some people. Sanguinius and Ferrus Manus are dead. Corax, Leman Russ, and Jaghatai Khan dissappeared into the warp. Rogal Dorn's fate is unknown. This is left out of canon on purpose for the public to make up their own version. Lion El'Jonson and Roboute Gulliman are not dead and are the only remaining loyalist primarchs still alive in some form of way. The Lion is being kept by the Watchers In The Dark who will keep him safe until the time comes. Roboute was poisoned by Omegon, who was then killed by Roboute. Roboute is kept safe in a Stasis Field until the time when it is fully healed. Fulgrim is dead as he asked a daemon to end his life. (The daemon took his form however.) Ferrus Manus was killed by Fulgrim. Alpharius may still live considering that he had a twin.(It is not known who was killed by Gulliman but is told to be Omegon.) Lorgar has acended to daemonhood. Konrad Cruze is said to be dead(assassinated by Callidus assassin M´Shen) Angron acended to daemonhood through Khorne. Mortarion acended to daemonhood through Nurgle. Magnus acended to daemonhood through Tzeentch. Vulkan disappeared. Perturabo acended to daemonhood. Horus was slain by the Emperor and Sanguinius was killed by Horus on the Vengeful Spirit.(Horus' Ship)

I just noticed that the pole says was most heroic or died most heroically, so it doesn't have to mean that they died.
#38 - Posted by: Corbec_UST (Member) on 11-01-2008 at 17:25
Ya what Chaoslord says, its who was the most heroic life OR had the most heroic death.
I went with Rogal Dorn because There is just something about him that I really like. He was only behind Guillman in his loyalty and accomplishment to/for the Emperor.
Then with his defending of Cadia by taking on that battleship (Im a Cadian Guardsman) He and his Imperial Fist are my favorite simply put (plus how can you beat a name like that, the Emperor's Children is the only name that comes close)
#39 - #36 - Posted by: Zealot2021 (Member) on 11-01-2008 at 17:37
thank you for reciting everything that would be at wiki40k. ;)
Ferrus Magnus ftw... i think they made him a bit to weak. i mean come on, cyborg iron hands primarch > pansy emperors children primarch... just dissapointing
regardless... *dream* maybe he had his memory stored on some ancient machine and will someday come back. of course, i just wish this cause im a hardcore iron hands dude.
#40 - Zealot2021 - Posted by: Corbec_UST (Member) on 11-01-2008 at 20:40
Man if he did that I would instantly (as would everyone else) jump on the Iron Hands band
#41 - Posted by: dominusastra (Member) on 11-02-2008 at 04:57
Sanguinius, definitely Sanguinius, he KNEW he would die and he fought nevertheless. His death was as heroic as Konrad Kurze´s.
But Leman Russ was the funniest of all Primarchs ^^ :D
(*Hint*:idea for a new poll)
#42 - Posted by: WarriorBourne (Member) on 11-02-2008 at 06:16
For Gods sake admins, do not make a poll like that! it will kill me! , i cant take another obvious stupid poll!, seriously though dont... , k?, okay, sounds good.
#43 - Posted by: 1000thSon (Member) on 11-02-2008 at 06:37
Konrad Curze's death was pretty heroic, I thought. He realized that he had become what he was hunting and allowed himself to be killed (supposedly, although Ithink that he really is dead, despite the pict recorder cutting out the moment before the assassin struck). That takes both wisdom and willpower. I think his death rivals Sanguinius's.
#44 - Posted by: MightyHaegr (Member) on 11-02-2008 at 09:50
Leman Russ all the way. He is roaming trought the eye to find the cure for his daddy.
Sanguinius is a close second, with super-heroic death.... but the Emperor could have easily killed Horus without Sanguinius dying.
The Night Haunter allowed himself to be beheaded by a Callidus. No mortal assassin could have stood against him if he fought back. He nearly killed Rogal Dorn...
#45 - lol - Posted by: Zealot2021 (Member) on 11-02-2008 at 17:51
Lemun russ.... gets drunk and punchs the emperor.... then gets punched back and is in a coma for a month  :D
#46 - Responce to #45 - Posted by: BaxKiller5 (Member) on 11-03-2008 at 15:15
