File Description

8 players, 4v4, 6 critical points, 8 relics, 8 slag deposits and 27 strategic points. Works for all versions. A huge fortress overlooks Cape TOD, once the location of a thriving fishing village. You and your enemy have occupied the East and West ends, once meant to protect the village from the local wildlife. Look out for choke points and alternate routes of attack. Due to space considerations, players positions 3,4,7 & 8 are located down by the shore. Enjoy. T.O.D.

Notes from the author;

In response to requests from friends and others including those who posted comments on filefront.com, I made this revision. I've widened many of the paths, made more room for base building and made other changes you'll find as you play.

Not everyone will like this map, while I feel some will love it. I made this map with a couple of goals in mind. First, the expansions are not required and no custom textures were used. Second, I wanted to make a map with a lot of elevation change but still easy to navigate around with a minimum of changing camera angles. For this reason I went with the diamond map configuration. The map is actually 512x512 meters, but due to the map configuration the opposing bases are close to 1000 meters by land. The hope is this will give the feel of a larger map while lessening the lag it might result in. I love big ole' blood baths, so the stronghold entrances are choke points designed to make the most of them (not so much in this version).

The strongholds can be restrictive space wise, so those preferring a lot of room to build infrastructure should choose player positions 3, 4, 7 or 8, as they are down by the shore with more room available.

For those having trouble navigating around, there are paths just outside the opposing strongholds leading down to the shoreline that can accommodate any unit, even the baneblade. These two paths should be the only places where you might find it useful to change the camera angle.

Thanks to everyone for their input, and I hope you enjoy this map. ;) T.O.D.
