File Description

The Legion of the Damned is a project I started to see how far I could push the Army Painter. I wanted to do a wild and extreme colour scheme but still stay true to the game and it's source material. I have two squads of the Legion and thought they would make a great project. They have a very chaotic visual quailty I wanted to try and capture.

File Info:

The space_marine_unit_default.wtp files have been retextured in Photoshop and were then recompiled with Beroc's WTP tool. Thank you Sir! This file replaces the current space marine unit textures with a modified Army Painter layout. The banner and badge where created via wacom tablet in Photoshop.

-The Sergeants face has been redone to represent a deathly palor.
-The marine squads do not have a badge map on them.
-Primary map color is now applied to all body parts.
-Secondary map controls the base of the flames.
-Trim map effects the top portion of the flames.
-Eye map controls the emblems, bones, and icons.

Installation instructions:

1.) Backup the original WTP file, located in
....Dawn of War/W40k/Data/art/ebps/races/space_marines/texture_share
To do this I usually add an "a" to the name.

2.) Extract the following file into the same directory.
"space_marine_unit_default.wtp"

3.) Simply place the banner in the banner folder and the badge in badge folder.

Like previous projects I want public feedback. Please e-mail me with any suggestions you may have.
