File Description

Factions hoping to control the spaceport on Meppa IV need to control the Lumine river valley. Skirmishes between armies often take place at various critical points along the river. This is one of the most vital."

River Canyon is a very small ( 128 x 256 ) map for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War meant to be played by two players or by one player versus a computer-controlled opponent. Fighting will probably be fast and furious, though there is always the possibility of a more drawn-out game as both players battle it out for the critical objective in the center of the map.

The river and it's negative cover effects both armies no matter how they seek victory, though the aspiring sniper can take advantage of mountain trails to defend their comrades or to strike at the heart of the enemy.

Hiya!

Thanks for downloading my very first map, River Canyon.

Suggest playing with Control Area (highly encouraged), Take & Hold (not really going to be an issue here on such a small map; if someone is taking your points, you are doomed already) and Annihilate if you have to (I just don't like it, my personal opinion).

To install River Canyon, unzip the files and put them in your Dawn of War directory under "\W40k\Data\Scenarios\MP". If the directory structure doesn't exist, create it.

If you have any comments or constructive criticism, please send me ( Hanna ) an email or a private message through the Relic News forums ( http://forums.relicnews.com/ ) or you can contact me via the We Can't Tell Reality From Fantasy blog ( http://www.bitcheswithglitches.com/nwn/ ).

I hope to release more maps soon, and eventually to release a pack of maps so that people can just download them in one clump and there will be a higher likelihood of you being able to use them online. Best wishes! Happy hunting!

Love,

Hanna
