- Completely edited all maps to replace all units and buildings where
  possible.
- All races fully complete.

Currently Known Issues:

None that I know of :D

General Info:

This mod alters the single player campaign to allow the player to
play as the other races rather than the Imperial Space Marines. If
you haven't played the single player campaign yet, I strongly
recommend you do so before playing with this mod so as not to spoil
anything, as many missions are clearly designed around the fact
that the player is playing as the Space Marines and not some other
race.

A few things to note:

1. Certain special characters are still within the game (ie. Gabriel
and Isidor). While I'm certain I can change this, to reflect a hero
type model from each individual race, it's clear it would add a level
of complexity that I honestly don't think is worth going through the
effort and hassle of replacing for each race. Future versions may
include this change, but for now, I can't be bothered.

2. In the early missions, you'll recall that the Space Marines were
limited in their tech tree to allow them to only build so far and so
much. Not so with this mod. All races can build as far as they wish
but are still limited to requirements such as Captured Relics. Yes,
this is intentional. Future releases may re-incorporate this back in
if I get enough demand for it, but I've never been a big fan of
hamstringing the player, so it's unlikely.

3. Certain missions (particularly when you play as Eldar) have you
starting out with some rather odd choices for default/start buildings.
A perfect example is when you would normally start with an armoury,
I've instead replaced it with a Webway Gate rather than a Soul Shrine
which would make more sense. The primary reason for this is that if
I did so, you'd be starting out with a nearly complete full base and
little need to build anything.

4. All cutscenes are relatively unchanged. Any 'actor' who has a
speaking role, remains unaltered, but any 'background' characters
should be altered to reflect which race you're playing. It is well
beyond the scope of this mod to alter the storyline and dialogues to
match the race you're playing, so keep in mind that you're still
playing the exact same game, just as a different race.

5. Due to requirements of the game itself, this mod will require
approx. 200 MB of drivespace to install. Yes, TWO HUNDRED MB. I was
shocked myself.

Installation:

1. Extract the files (with pathnames) into your DoW gamedir.
2. Either run the included batch files, or create new shortcuts that
look similar to the batchfile and execute that.

Uninstallation:

1. Delete the directory "SP_Redux" from your DoW dir.

Mini-FAQ:

Q: What version is this mod for?
A: 1.10 only. It's actually possible to get it working for previous
versions (as the files in question will work for any version
currently), however, to do so requires a little knowledge on your
part which is beyond the scope of this FAQ. Feel free to ask
on any DoW forum you come across, as I'm sure most people will be
able to guide you through it.

Q: How the hell am I supposed to do the beginning of mission 2 as Orks
when all I have are peons?!
A: Believe it or not, it's possible. Though honestly, I've never been
able to do it on Insane.

Q: This mod isn't going to make my game unplayable in multi, is it?
A: It most certainly shouldn't, as it's both single player, and it's a
mod which doesn't actually alter anything in your game. Worst case
though, if you suspect it is causing problems for you, simply run
your normal DoW executable and you should be fine.

Q: Hey! Stuff is different now! I don't mean just different buildings
or something, I mean things like cutscenes are different!
A: Almost everything is identical to the original (with the obvious
exceptions of race uniqueness). However, there were a few unique
situations which required me to do minor tweaks to some maps to
accomodate either a shortcoming of a race or some other balance type
issue. Also, don't forget that the game is non deterministic, which
means that while nothing has changed with the game itself, it will
probably play out slightly (and sometimes largely) differently than
it did previously. A perfect example of this is the opening cutscene
from mission 1. Watch it 4 or 5 times and you'll see that it's not
actually playing out exactly the same every time.

Q: 200MB?! Holy Jebus Batman, is there some hidden porn in this thing
    somewhere? What the hell?
A: While I have ample porn which I could have placed in the archive,
surprisingly, that's just the size of the files. If it weren't for
the actual map files and TGAs, it would be significantly smaller.

Q: I've run into an error or bug, what do I do?
A: Feel free to either e-mail me (see contact info) or drop by the
    Relic forums (http://forums.relicnews.com/forumdisplay.php?f=90)
and let me know there. I'll try and fix it up toot sweet ;)

Q: Dude, you ruined the game with this mod!
A: Feel free not to play it.

Q: Without the build restrictions and with the extra heroes, the game is
    just too easy now.
A: You could always just not use them you know. It's called restraint.
    Try it sometime.

Disclaimer:

While I can't imagine this mod could do anything untoward to your game
and/or computer, the infinite multiverse rule says that anything and
everything WILL happen somewhere, so use at your own risk. I've done
MANY hours of testing, and haven't run into any issues, but you never
know, your computer could be possessed by the angry spirit of Alfalfa
and decide to explode thanks to this mod.
