Doom Slayer Chronicles brings modern graphics to Doom II

We like to feature particularly great or impressive mods here at GameFront, and one mod which has recently been featured on our sister site, ModDB, has caught our attention; it aims to leverage the new capabilities of the GZDoom engine to bring modern, AAA title graphics to the game, with some pretty spectacular results.

Some of the graphical effects that are being leveraged by the mod include hardware shaders, full-screen post processing effects, PBR textures, and bump mapping, as well as dynamic shadows and lighting, all backed up with spectacular HD textures. 

As you can see from the video above, the results are really impressive. It totally transforms what you would expect to see from a typical GZDoom experience, with amazing looking visuals.

The mod is still a work in progress, but a new update was recently released and you can follow development over at the official ModDB page.

Sounds like Doom II: Hell on Earth could use its own page, so much talented people making mods for a nearly 25 year old game. :
