This is version 1 of the D³MaterialFileCreator, this is my first release. As I am not up to scratch on shaders and the like, if you have any ideas what could improve this application or if you find any bugs. Please email me FliX (firstname.lastname@example.org)! I hope this little application can help all the people like me, that don't know a single thing about shaders.

D³MaterialFileCreator by FliX (email@example.com)(www.flix.ta-22.de) (C)2004 v1.0 INSTALLATION: No installation required, start from whereever you have unpacked the exe to. Description: This is version 1 of the D³MaterialFileCreator, this is my first release. As I am not up to scratch on shaders and the like, if you have any ideas what could improve this application or if you find any bugs. Please email me FliX (firstname.lastname@example.org)! I hope this little application can help all the people like me, that don't know a single thing about shaders. Instruction: The programm will only work for textures that are located in a subdirectory of your base/textures folder. First you select the Texture that you would like to make a shader for, then you select the different maps that you would like added to the shader with the appropriate checkbox. Note that the maps need to be TGA and need the appropriate names, so if your texture is called wall.tga the normalmap has to be wall_local.tga the bumpmap has to be wall_bmp.tga the heightmap has to be wall_h.tga the diffusemap has to be wall_d.tga the specularmap has to be wall_s.tga If this is not the case you need to change the file names of the maps in the shader Text box. Next step, you need to ither select a materialfile, that you want to add the shader to. Or you can create a new material file, by entering a name (without the file extension .mtr and click create. Then click Add shader to current Material File: to add the shader to the materialfile, do this for all the textures you want added to the appropriate materialfile and then save the materialfile. Make sure you dont overwrite any original Doom3 material files. Build Time: 2004-09-01 - 2004-09-13 tools used: Visual Basic 6 Thank you to everybody that answerd my noob shader questions! Special thanx for testing go to: Syncromesh 300%Density Bobby/Jolinar my thanx goes out to all the mappers and modders out there, for giving me inspirationand help. special thanx to the guys on the Doom3World Boards for help. legal jiverish blabla Doom and everythin assosiated is (C) to some coporate Company, that gets pissed if this isnt added and this great game was brought to us by ID Software(R) this is an independant file that has no affiliation with the above company, other than the fact that the file is built for their game. This file can be freely distributed, as long as this readme and the zip file are not changed, and full credit is given to me FliX (email@example.com) I can't take any responsibilaty, for any damage done by this file, not that it is suposed to, but well just saving my butt.
