Now, I just know that some of you have been surfing around thinking: "Where the hell is Dafama??" Well, he has some things going on in his other life, you know, the real one...but, he has not abandoned us! He is still at his geographic location pumping out D3 content for the bestest community out there! At last check, he told me he has approximately 30 mods to share, however, having the time to send them in is proving to be an issue. Anyways, we have a treat for you! We have his latest submission hot off the internetz!!

The Doom 3 Compatibility Tool Mod is intended to make life easier for map and mod creators, this tool is aimed at people that have some unofficial .pk4 mods placed in the Base and/or d3xp official folders for the basic game and the RoE expansion respectively. Maybe you want to have this extra .pk4 that, if placed in base automatically, will make new features available to many other mods and maps that are placed in other folders; because all of these .pk4s that are placed in Base will make the features available to any other mods that do not change the same, of course, and the same can be said for all RoE mods affected by the extra .pk4s you place on d3xp folder.

This is what Dafama2K7's mod is made for, you can keep the extra .pk4s in your Base and RoE folders and instead develop your mods and make new maps in the new d3_base and d3_roe mod folders. These two mod folders only place the default defs and scripts updated to the full latest patch v3.1, but tweaked so it also keeps compatibility with v3.0...so now standard mods for both D3 Base and RoE can be created without having to uninstall your custom .pk4s that maybe you have placed in the official Base and D3xp folders.

Special Features...:

I have only fixed some very small bugs present on the original D3, like ".prt" words badly named as ".ptr" on some def. files, like for example weapon_bfg.def and weapon_chaingun.def and fixed a light on the caverns1.map and very very little small things like that, i can't resist myself to do it... :D

So this mod is a tool and also a fixed Doom 3 !



History...:

v1.0 - First release.

-Fixed Cgun, BFG, Shotgun, that now reloads one shell at a time.
-Bettered muzzleflash on all weapons.
-Increassed the incredible small muzzleflash on the ZCommando_Cgun... Hey, the player chaingun have 220 of Muzzleflash, so the same should be for the ZCommando Cgun, right !
- And more of this kind of little bugs fixes, but without changing playability or any gfx and sounds, believe me !
