Doom 3 Reborn is a Cooperative based mod for the popular id Software Game 'Doom 3'. It aims to provide the feel of the original Single Player Maps in Multiplayer.

The Current Version you have is an alpha version. This means it is far from complete, untested and probbably won't run like you'd want it to.

DO NOT RUN THIS MOD AS A LISTEN SERVER. IF YOU WISH TO PLAY ON THE SAME MACHINE AS THE SERVER, CREATE A DEDICATED SERVER USING Doom3DED.exe, then CONNECT TO IT THROUGH ANOTHER DOOM3.exe using the console command 'connect 127.0.0.1'.

INSTRUCTIONS OF USE:

1. First make a folder called 'd3reborn' in your Doom 3 Directory.
2. Unzip the contents of the Zip FIle into this new folder/directory.

STARTING A D3Reborn Alpha Dedicated Server:
1. Create a shortcut to the doom3ded.exe with the arguments +set fs_game 'd3reborn'
2. Start the shortcut.
3. Choose a single player map you want to play by typing si_map 'xxxx' where xxxx is the map name

Here are some working map names:
game\alphalabs1
game\hell1
game\hellhole     <-- walk throught the wall that doesn't fall away (you'll see what i mean when you play)
game\delta5
game\cpuboss
game\delta1
game\delta2
game\delta3
game\mc_underground

There are more that will work.

4. Make sure si_pure is 0, do this by typing si_pure 0 in the console
5. Make sure the si_gametype is 'D3 Reborn'. Type si_gametype 'D3 Reborn' to be sure
6. Type 'SpawnServer'
7. Your server will now be running.

STARTING a D3REBORN Alpha Client
1. Start the game normally
2. When you come to the menu, choose the mods option at the bottom
3. Click on d3reborn, then choose 'Load Mod'

HOW TO FIND A DOOM3REBORN SERVER
1. Look for game types that say 'D3 Reborn' in the online browser
Game types are the items that say 'Deathmatch', 'Last man', 'Team Deathmatch' etc.

Known Bugs:

We know alot of things are not working in this alpha. That is why it is in it's alpha version.

1. Animations on some monsters are incorrect some of the time.
2. Clip Model Test gets thrown on the client which sometimes causes red debug lines to be drawn and bog the fps down
3. Server Crashes at first monster in monorail level
4. Lights don't move with the train car in monorail
5. Particles are not synced with server (causes a problem in alpha labs 1 with phase deconstructor)
6. Monster deaths are not synced with server. This means if a monster dies, then the player reconnects into the game,
the monster won't be there where it died.
7. GUIS for activating doors as well as the medical gui is not synced properly
8. Monorail Skybridge causes overflow errors at the bridge collaspse
9. Animation doesn't work in cinematics some of the time.
