File Description

When Doom 3 was released, many people were disappointed because weapons lack that oomph! sound, bodies gibbed, physics not being shown properly etc. This mod aims to change what id has failed to do so. However, bear in mind that there will not be any changes made to the original gameplay that id has intended for players. Remember, this game isn't for the faint hearted. If you're looking for mods that adds flashlights to weapons, or increases clip size or rate of fire, then this isn't the mod for you. This mod basically improves on the game's technicalities.

Unzip edoom01a.zip into the Doom 3 folder. For example, if during Setup, I chose to install Doom 3 in C:\Doom3\, then that would be my main Doom 3 folder. To check if it is successful, you should see a folder called Enhanced Doom 3 in your Doom 3 folder. To get it to work, start up Doom 3 and go to Mods at the bottom of the screen, then select Enhanced Doom 3.

When you save a game in Enhanced Doom 3 in the original Doom 3 itself. To fix this problem, simply move the files in the "savegames" folder in Enhanced Doom 3 into the base\savegames directory.

Enjoy the mod!
