We would like to extend a special thanks to the Doom 3 Community for your continuing support. We would also like to thank Id software for making the kick ass game that started it all: DooM. Personal messages from the team (In alphabetical order by alias): Arne Olav "AO" Hallingstad: In this final release of LMS Coop we have a lot of new stuff for all of you. There's a lot of polishing of the mod, most notably we have also integrated a new gametype allowing you to play the Classic Doom Mod Cooperatively with friends! I joined in middle of December 2004 when the team was about to release its first version. I'm proud to have been part of this great team of 5 who have all stuck together for about year. Looking back it's been a great experience and will definitely help me on the way to a game programming job someday. Hope you enjoy this release. Michael "Calimer" Tomaino: I'm so proud that we have reached the point of a final release of LMS. I really can't thank my team enough for all of their awesome work and for all of the help to get us to this point. It is so amazing to see how much we have accomplished, and how far we exceeded the original goals of the project. Burn has been with me from the beginning and I can't thank him enough for sticking with the mod and believing in me even when we were the only active ones on the team for a while. It is so amazing to think back to that point of time and think about where we are now. I couldn't of done it without you. Also thanks for never giving up on making the new webpage and for all of your hard work. Mercykiller was the next person to join the team of the core members, and wow has he come a long way. I remember seeing his first map called mineshaft I believe, and it was rough to say the least. I decided to give him a chance and it has been absolutely amazing to see how much he has grown. I'm very proud of him for never giving up and for always striving to improve. Keep up the good work, KF_chambers is still one of my favorite maps. AO aka Arne Olav Hallingstad is the next core team member to have joined. AO really worked his ass off on this mod as can be seen in all of his work to get Co-op working and all of the awesome features he has added to LMS. AO is a great example of where brilliance, inspiration and motivation have come together. It has been an extreme pleasure to work with him. Hobbes was the last person of the core team to join and he has really done an outstanding job. Not only did he tweak all of the Single Player maps for Co-op but he also tweaked them all for ROE and did the majority of the ROE Coop code integration. If it weren't for Hobbes the world would never have gotten to experience ROE Coop. Also he has crushed an incredible amount of bugs. His dedication to LMS has been outstanding and I'm so glad to have him on the team. I'm sure I missed a lot of other ways that I'm proud of you guys but I don't want to take up the whole readme :) It has been a great honor to work with each one of you. I consider each of you a lifelong friend and I hope you all stay in contact with me well after this project. You guys rock. Hobbes: It has taken a long time to get to this point. I am the newest team member and it was almost a year ago when I became involved with LMS. That shows you that the core team is dedicated to make this mod the best we can. I want to thank all of the players that have stayed with us over the course of development. It is great to see people enjoying what we have put so much of our time and effort into making. It has been a great experience and I enjoyed every minute of it. Hope to see you on the servers. Stephen "MercyKiller" Youts: It's been a long, difficult road to LMS 3.0 Final, but well worth it. In my 16 months here I've seen people come and go, but for over a year the core team has remained the same: Calimer, BurN, AO, Hobbes, and I. It's been great working with such talented developers on what has come to be the most widely played multiplayer Doom3 mod in existence. All the contributors and former team, thanks for playing a part in the development of LMS, it wouldn't be what it is today without you. I've learned so much from working with you all, and am very happy with what we've accomplished. To the players: you are what has kept LMS alive for the past year and a half, and we'd be nothing without you. Feedback has been tremendously helpful and now that LMS is at its final version, hopefully you can play in a relatively bug-free environment. I've enjoyed working on LMS a ton, and hopefully some of that enjoyment has been tranfered to you through the mod. Remember: Great mods are immortalized in the memories of fans. Keep LMS alive. A special thanks from the Team: Thanks to the community for continually supporting the development of LMS. You guys make it all worth it. Final note: I hope you enjoy the mod and please feel free to contact us about any problems you have, whether you like it or dislike it, anything. We'd really like to hear from you.
