File Description

This file contains a single test level which lets you use a weapon firing "power beams". It also displays a new HUD.

This mod is currently in the early stages.

Features: ----

At the moment however, it is extremely limited. This is what we currently *don't* have: - Storyline - Character models - Object models - Levels

And what we *do* have: - The basics of Samus' Combat Visor - Fully working Energy Tanks (including model) - Fully working Energy bar and correct Little energy tank boxes and stuff - Modified Plasma Gun to shoot power beam bullets instead (simply yellow plasma bullets with unlimted ammo) it *is* however, the power beam noise... - The pistol is now the power beam, model, bullets, sound etc. - Modifed the Rocket Launcher. Its a bit stuffed at the moment. This *should* be correct tommorow - A slightly bigger level. 2 rooms

Installation instructions:

Ok, first things first, have you down loaded the file? If not, that would be a good start.

   1. Extract your downloaded file as is drectly into your Doom3 folder. (It *should create a folder called metroid and create two files: metroid.pk4 and gamex86.pk4.
   2. Run the game, and at the start, open the Mods menu and choose Metroid.
   3. Once the game restarts and you are at the main menu, press Ctrl, Alt + ~ to bring down the console.
   4. Type in 'map mymap' to load my test level. Note: You could actually play regular Doom3 with the metroid dll, but the only benefit that would give you is unlimited bullets in your plasma gun.

    * During gameplay, bring down the console and type 'spawn powerup_energy_tank' to spawn an energy tank.
    * To load Doom3 directly into the Metroid Mod and Test Level, simply create a short cut to Doom3 and change the shortcut to include the following: +set fs_game metroid +map myMap (just add that to the end of the target text box, after the quotes).
