This mod started with a few modifications that i put togther to play at my LANs. It's become quite popular for the serious player (more weapon damage with lower medkit health) and also for the casual player who wanted a bit of fun (it's very funny getting a flashlight bash on someone and they sound like Homer Simpson screaming :P)

Anyway, because of its popularity I decided to see if i could get it hosted for everyone to have a go.

:: Weapons/Equipment ::

- plasmagun removed [Tets]
- damage increased for all weapons - headshots lethal [Tets]
- max armor 75 [Tets]
- bullet spread increased slightly [Tets]
- rocket jumping disabled [Tets]
- rocket launcher ammo greatly reduced
- grenades can be thrown further and bounce reduced
- start with pistol, machinegun, shotgun and grenades
- start holding shotgun
- pistol skin [Fragger]
- new sounds, see below

:: HUD ::

- removed weapon icon display that usually comes up after a weapon change
- adjusted weapons options menu to suit mod

:: Powerups ::

- all removed [Tets]
- replaced with low ammo rocket launcher

:: Sounds ::

- removed hitsounds
- removed low ammo warning sound
- weapons sounds - see credits
- added Homer sounds to fists and flashlight bashing
- altered the announcer and multi-play ingame voices and associated text (added colours)
- changed main menu music (was kinda getting over the default :))

:: In-game voice chat ::

- fixed the doom3 voice chat options... they now work as per Doom 3/Docs/help.htm
- disabled voice commands referencing powerups (no powerups in this mod)

:: Other ::

- slightly reduced movement speeds from default
- soft fall damage reduced to zero (supposed to be highly trained marines!)
- slightly increased both hard type fall damages from default

+++  S E R V E R  T I P S  +++

I recommend using the fs_game_base command when running a server to load custom maps.
I run my server with my version five map pack (at the time of writing this readme)
My server command includes the following: +set fs_game nedD3_RD +set fs_game_base nedMapPack_v5

Because of this the server's base folder is 'clean' ie. default.
If you have a clean base folder, this helps eliminate the 'Data not in sync with server data' error.
This error can occurr when there is a difference between the server and client base folders (.pk4s)

 Note: This is different to wether or not the server is 'pure'
       Pure doesn't allow modified game date. Custom maps usually
       don't do this.
