This is a simple mod that makes the weapons' shells stay on the ground for a very long time (I'm not sure how long, I haven't waited long enough to watch them disappear).
I made this mod because there's one thing that's always disappointed me about first person shooters, the shells disappear. Sure, in old games like Half-Life, this helped to reduce the strain on the player's PC, but in modern games like Doom III, why is it necessary? My old ATI 9600SE can run Doom III fine, even with this mod on. Yes, there's other mods out there that increase the shell disappear time, but they often brought along a lot of extra things that personally, I didn't want (such as the super zombies in BattleReady). Thus, I present to you, ShellStay!
FireAza's ShellStay mod for Doom III Instructions: Like any other mod, just unpack to your Doom III directory (for example, C:\Program Files\Doom 3) then just load the mod via the mods option in Doom III's main menu.
