VIAVGA DM2 is a DOOM 3 Deathmatch map built to accomodate large sized Deathmatch and various sized team Deathmatch games. It is a follow up creation from VIAVGA DM1 and it's layout and design has been influenced from lessons learned from the original. Unlike the original, the layout and design of this map was built from the ground up to make strong use of DOOM 3 rendering optimization techniques (using vis portals more effectively), allowing for a higher level of lighting and geometric detail without any significant sacrifice on frame rates. It boasts a well lit and open free-flowing feel about it and is fairly simple to learn due to its symetrical layout.
Instructions for viavga_dm2: ---------------------------- Unzip the viavga_dm2.pk4 file to wherever your doom3\base folder is. To enter the map use the in-game multiplayer map menu, where viavga_dm2 should be listed. Gameplay Specifics: ------------------- viavga_dm2 is the second Doom 3 DM maps I have created. Unlike VIAVGA_DM1 (http://www.viavga.com/default.asp?PageID=20&Article=40) VIAVGA_DM2 is more symetrical, is heavier on graphical detail without sacrificing performance. It suits large DM gamnes as well as Team DM. It could also be converted to CTF should a CTF mod become availablke.
