Nintendo Direct did have a few gleams of interesting news for those of us in the PC / Modding community, and one such reveal is a new strategy game from Romero Games, which will be set in 1920's Chicago in the world of Mafia gangsters.
The trailer shows off the game which, unlike first impressions, won't actually be a top-down affair. It promises to put players in the heart of the underworld of Chicago during the Prohibition, with a strong focus on characters, as you "harm and intimidate your way to the top of the pile and do whatever it takes to stay there."
You'll build up a criminal empire as one of 14 mafia bosses looking to grab power within the city, and players will find themselves " smack-dab in the glitz and glamor of the roaring 20s, giving you a chance to thrive in the gritty underbelly of organized crime."
You'll apparently be able to choose which type of activity your gangs partake in, such as running casinos or protection rackets, as well as vying to take over territory from rival gangs in "brutal turn-based combat".
The game will release some time next year.
