oberlerchner123 presents Moonexplorers.

This is a fairly large CTF map for Elite Force 2, which makes use of the Hazard Modding Pilot-able shuttle. Consisting of two bases/landing pads and a number of vantage points, Moonexplorers is an enjoyable map with a nice amount of originality. Arguably however, the map could be played as Capture the Shuttle rather than Capture the Flag - which would be rather interesting to see.

The author notes this is his first map, while being fairly bland; Moonexplorers is a nice concept and is bound to be a source of enjoyment.

Requirements:

Star Trek: Elite Force II

Cheats must be enabled

Installation:

Copy the file "Moonexplorers.pk3" into your base folder.

Uninstallation:

Delete the file "Moonexplorers.pk3" in your base folder.

Loading the map:

The map comes with a .mni file, so you can just select it
in your Solomatch/Create Server maplist.
If you want to load it from the server console: devmap moonexplorer

This map uses a slightly modified version of Chrisstrahl's shuttle.
I removed the auto-activating shields because they might be a problem
because if somebody hits the shuttle you have to wait until somebody switch
them off again before you can shoot back.
Now you can sit on a nacelle and do drive bys.

And I made it possible to blow up the shuttle.
You must shoot the engines to blow it up, and everybody in it or close to it
will vaporize.

For the guys who always land in a wall or in the floor, ;-)
I made a approach lighting system on the top of the two bases.
If the two white lights on the end of the landing platform are on the edge
of your screen, stop. Now go down until the crosshair is exactly in the
middle of the red light. Congratualations, perfect landing!
