Ok I know this news item is literally off topic, however as we are quite lagging any real news from the community I thought we might start and see what the still active community members do outside of EF. As the news title already tells this is about a quite famous former EF modeller who's username and developer name are both Crackpatch. He is the creator of the RPG-X Skins Mod and was responsible for converting and retexturing the Type 11 shuttle on the U.S.S. Enterprise-E map. Over the last years he has also been very active as modeller outside of the EF scene, mainly modelling his favourite ship class, the Nova class. (The Nova class appeared in the Voyager episodes "Equinox" as "U.S.S. Equinox" and in "Endgame- Part I" as refitted version "U.S.S. Rhode Island" commanded by Captain Harry Kim.) A book author at Science Fiction Meshes now decided to honor his great work with using a render of his Nova class for an upcomming fan-made book about a U.S.S. Equinox-A. To check out 2 examples of the renders please check the screenshots attached below. In the name of EliteForceFiles and as I hope in the name of the entire community I would like to congratulate Crackpatch for this great sucess and hope that he will still be a part of this community for a long time. :)
