Medium deathmatch map, using a water style.
While this map show up some pretty nice idea, the use of this map is destroyed by a awefull gameplay. The ammount of weapons and ammo make this map, a simple photon duel. You have at least 3 or 4 photon launcher and the samething with the arc welder.
It's the same with the quality. While the map show up a good control over entities like func_rotate, func_train and func_bobbing, the poor quality of the sky make it bad. (Not talking of the black bottom of the skybox!) The map has no physical limit, which mean the water "floot" in front of the sky. The brushwork is also pretty plain. If the author did all those model, textures and shaders, it's a good work. (Did he? no credits for the different part of the map?)
Like the autor say in the readme, this map is for speciality (Normaly it's for Team Deathmatch and CTF, no?) and disintegration. However, disintegration in water is a bit sad...
50CALIBUR --------- ATTENTION : I do not wish to be sued by Disney, let me make it plain and clear here -- THIS IS NOT RELATED TO "PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN", it was made as a tribute to some of the Everquest themes, such as Rivervale, and is named roughly after Soul Calibur. That said, extract to your BaseEF directory, and open up a MP game of EF and either choose Create Game and select 50Calibur, or bring down the ~ menu and type "map 50calibur" This is a good map for specialties and deathmatch sniper mode.
