File Description

You might want to start downloading this map before you read my review, due to the slightly above average file size - but don't worry, you won't be disappointed.

As seen in a POTD recently, this map uses textures mostly see in klingon maps - a nice change from the voy ones I have to say. There are multiple levels on this map, linked by stairs and lifts. Both sides meet outside in a section hovering above a lava pit, with an odd powerup or two. Above the walkways, are some nice lights, and scattered throughout are flame torches colour coded to the side of the map you are on. Near the top in this section is a spyglass style glass wall, perhaps you can do something fancy with the photon to get past that.

It would have been nice to see some weapons in this map other than the phaser, however as the readme states, the map is designed for disintegration and specialties modes only.

I couldn't find any overlaps or missing textures, so that's good, the lighting could do with a bit of work, but thats nitpicking.

The map is rather large, I would suggest at least 8 players at any one time to enjoy it to its potential.

The map also includes some nice music to listen to while you wait to respawn :)

Obviously a lot of hard work has gone into this map and I would like to see it on some servers very soon!

Go get it now (if you ignored my previous advice).

This is my first map for Star Trek Voyager Elite Force 1. This map took about 5 months to complete, off and on. This map is for Capture the Flag in Specialties or Disintegration modes only as of right now. Bot support is not included with this map.

When you first enter the map, you may notice the environment is larger than normal. This makes for great game play as you have more areas to jump and move around in, including several ways to move around the map. There are several secrets throughout the map, all you have to do is find them. You must have a button bound for 'USE' to use most secrets. Items are included for specialties mode such as the Quantum Weapon Enhancer, Metaphasic Shielding and Anti-Gravity Pack. This map also comes with in-game music.

1. Open the zip file 'ctf_ancient_temple' using winzip or similar program.

2. Extract the pk3 file to your elite force baseef directory. By default, this directory is... 'C:\Program Files\Raven\Star Trek Voyager Elite Force\BaseEF'.

3. Open Elite Force and bring down the chat console by pressing '~'. Type 'map ctf_ancient_temple' and press enter.

4. Have fun and enjoy.
