A .1 update to get the batch files working :D Here's Scooter's original review:
Now here's something which looks quite useful. This mod lets you give passwords to people that are victims of a subnet ban so that they can still connect to your server. I know from experience that banning subnets is always tough but often necessary when dealing with people who have a dynamic IP address. The only thing better than this would be a mod that can ban based on CD-KEY.
Thank you for reading this readme file. :) Ban Access Mod v1 by [SFI]Gez Readme and authorized submission of this mod by Talisman. *======================* MSN: firstname.lastname@example.org E-Mail: email@example.com *======================* Purpose: This is a mod specifically designed to allow banned players to access a server with a password. This is highly useful if you need to widely range ban to keep players out. Commands: /rcon addbanpass "(password)" /rcon removebanpass "(password)" **In the off case that those commands are incorrect, try using addpassword and removepassword. But the above to should be correct :)** Usage: When a banned player attempts to access the server, the ban text will show he is banned and will prompt him/her to enter a password. The text will change saying that passwords can be requested from server administration. Server admins can give these players specific and different passwords to regulate them. In other words, if you give one password to one player and he shares it, you can simply remove that password from the list and leave them all banned. For a player to enter a banpassword, he/she need only use /password (pass). Installation: -Windows: Unzip to the folder with stvoyhm.exe (stvoyhm) How to run: Double click Run Server.bat (you can set other things by editing the .bat, alternitavly you can run the mod with a shortcut by adding: +set fs_game "Specialties" to the end of the target box after any quotes OR Open Holomatch, go to Mods, and load Ban Access Mod Version 1 -Linux: Create a directory like /home/.../ef/Specialties Where/ '/home/ef/' is the path where you installed eliteforce. You can start the game with the +set fs_game Specialties arguement An example of the efstart file: ./efded +set fs_game Specialties +exec server.cfg
