File Description

CTF_voy1x is a converted map, from the original: hm_voy1, which is a stock map from the Elite Force game. A number of changes and tweaks have been made to this map, so that it will support the following game modes: FFA, Team FFA and CTF.

Some of the changes made include:

  • The map has been cut at one end, copied & matched to the remaining side.
  • There are some small changes to textures, lighting, items & the placement.
  • There are 24 spawn points for death-match & 9 team spawns (per team)

Chilla-X spent about a day on this map, but don't let that fool you, this is a pretty good conversion of a pretty good map, however, this map does not support bots; A number of changes were also made so that this map would be playable in it's converted form, such as the removal of some consoles...even with these changes, the splendor of the map remains in tact.

DESCRPTION

This map is a converted version of the map hm_voy1 from the original release of Elite Force, 
re-arranged to support the capture the flag game mode.
The map has been cut at one end, copied & matched to the remaining side.
There are some small changes to textures,lighting,items & the placement.
There are 24 spawn points for deathmatch & 9 team spawns (per team)
It took about a day or so to make.

There were a number of issues creating this map, perhaps a bit lucky to get a working & playable 
version. 
Some of the contents of the map have been reduced or removed to get the map to compile & to play 
without funny things happening. Its not really noticable in most places except where a couple of 
consoles are no longer there. It seemed logical to take these out as they were also a complete 
pain in the *** to re-align the textures.
Unlike the previous hm to ctf conversion there is no bot support inlcuded. There were problems 
with compiling this. For some reason a leak was detected but the leak is from one part of the map 
into another part (not the void). I didn't want to spend too long trying to fix This.

INSTALLATION

Stick Pk3 in your BaseEF folder, run from menu or console (map ctf_voy1x)
