A nice alien shuttle. This is Smith's first map, and its not bad at all. There were no overlapping textures and it featured some prettys cool things. I liked the map overall. The red alert is my favourite part. I love that sound. The map is stricktly roleplaying, and should not be used to for fragging. I guess you could use it for that, but you wont have much fun. Anyway, the map features some of the basic rpg elements and is a really good adition for rpg. Also, there are noalien shuttle maps (that i know of) so this is a really good addition to the rpg collection. The viewscreen is kind of hard to see through, and you can not see the warpstars. He needs to fix that. Also more spawnpoints would be good, but its a shuttle so there shouldnt be 20 people on it anyway. Overall, download the map. It's a really good job for his first map.
RPG_Karad This is a generic alien vessel for roleplaying in Elite Force 1. The basic Karad can be used as a shuttle or scout-type craft as required. Installation instructions: Extract the pk3 from the zip archive into your BaseEF folder. The map name is RPG_Karad. Areas: Cockpit Contains primary controls and functions. - Helm (forward right) - Operations (forward left) - Tactical (aft left) - Auxiliary (aft right) Gangway A short corridor fitted with bunks and storage. If the area aft of the bulkhead is ignored for RP purposes, the Karad can be used as a shuttle, approximately the size of a Starfleet Type-9. Cargo Hold A storage area that also provides access to the main hatch (non-functional), personal transporter (non-functional) and crawlway. Crawlway Used to access power generation and distribution systems. Notes: This is my first map but I hope not my last. It's taken about a week of actual work, learning how to use GTK properly (or at least trying to) but life as usual interfered and added on several more days to the total time. The reasoning for this map is simple. Apart from the K'Vort and the regular frag-match maps, there aren't that many non-Starfleet settings for roleplayers to use. I can't speak for everyone but I wouldn't mind getting off the same old ships once in a while. Variety, spice of life, etc, etc. Anyway. All I can really ask is for the Karad to be used in a few good stories.
